This part is the biggest giveaway IMO. DSP loves being able to humblebrag about muh "high-end, custom, robust style luxury parts" too much to cheap out on a joystick.
If you wanted to be super charitable, MAYBE a dent let DSP choose what stick to buy for him. It's way more likely that a fan gifting a stick wouldn't go straight to one of the more expensive ones though.

When he was "fixing" the first stick someone in chat mentioned a brand of stick and asked if Phil would use that brand if he got one. He was quick to make fun of that cheap shit and say he would only use/accept a _____ or _____ (I don't know shit about joysticks).

Not that anyone cares about my opinion, but I think Phil already bought the stick on Amazon and THEN fucked up his current stick. Hoping they'd rain pity bucks on him.

I for one cannot wait to see the exact same cope when this new controller arrives and behaves exactly the same as any other
It’s probably a false hope given that gaming has reached a level of popularity where hardware designers can no longer assume buyers are going to be people who at least have some idea what they’re doing and must design for, well, people like Phil, but I’d love it so much if he dropped $400 on a stick that had a level of customization that it required assembly out of the box. Tech is one of those things where you can easily overspend and wind up with wayyyy more functionality than you need, to the point that just getting it up and running can require some knowledge or skill because the device is intended and built to be extremely customizable. And we know Phil looks at two things and two things only when making a purchase: “is it the most expensive and therefore best” and “can I afford this after binging on manmeat jpgs”.

If that doesn’t happen at least we’ll have laughs during the unboxing, when Phil reveals which one he bought and five minutes later some KF autist posts all the functions it has that he will never, ever use.

I think the best argument against the latter is that all of these special material donations in the nick of time of Phil’s need is just that “they” never want their names, even a username, attached to their supposed generosity. Even dents that tip want whatever retarded handle they’ve chosen for themselves after the 18th ban spoken aloud. They want that recognition.

One person’s opinion but I maintain that none of the tech Phil gets are gifts. They are all his purchases and always have been.
He gave it away yesterday when he was able to track every single move the Amazon driver made with his new joystick, which you can't do if someone is sending you a gift. You can only do that if you ordered it yourself. He almost HAS to lie about everything, which is why there are massive threads pointing out all the times he lied, and confused how there are never any consequences (luckily he inflicts them on himself by blowing all the money).

He's done this a lot of times. Saying a dent donated it enables him to: 1) continue to pretend he's broke and needs your tips, 2) maybe get a dent to actually give him a gift next time, since it's a "normal thing" (and I'm sure at times the "care packages" and "longtime fans" have been real).

I was immediately reminded of the PS5 bitchfest, and how he Karen’d Amazon support. One has to wonder if he did that again with this stick. One can only hope that the delivery driver pulled an Ace Ventura on it.

The dent that gifted Phil the controller shipping tracking info. I think Phil's fans are retarded enough to keep giving this baby expensive shit.

Several hundred dollars with far less than 24 hours’ notice, though? That’s a hard expense to eat for a lot of people. And if some rich dent really wanted to be a hero, again, why would they keep themselves anonymous when they could drop that money on him during any given stream and get to ride that dopamine in his chat?

Classic fucking polack faggot Phil drawing from the well of personally naming and blaming one person in a company this time it's Ono I bet if you showed him a lineup of chinky chang wang west coast pro fighting game players and asked him to point out which one is Ono and he got it right I'd buy him an arcade stick.

you cant share amazon tracking with other people. only the account holder can see it
Exactly, the only way you'd know where the delivery vehicle is would be to actively watch with your logged in account on a phone or browser. Now this is going off of whether or not he used Amazon delivery which is damn near 100% but the only other service I know that lets you see where a truck is without an account is UPS.

phil 100000000% bought it himself, like he does all his other "gifts"
You can share tracking on gifts just by going to orders > Track package and then sending that. He can go to track.amazon.com and enter in the number sent to him. Further, if it isn't shipped by an Amazon van so USPS, UPS, Fedex whatever all of those will track anything shipped to your address. Homeassistant, Homekit, Alexa, cellphones all have apps to do it.

He was saying last night he wasn't sure if he was even getting it at all, that it might have been someone fucking with him. He might have bought it and he might not have, but the tracking isn't proof I don't think.

So if his failing at Street Fighter aren't rollback netcode (Hilarious that he was convinced that the code actually rolled back moves all this time), his bugged stick, or broken internet, what is the reason he still isn't dominating in Street Fighter. I thought he fixed all the kinks of the game. It's hilarious that he has spent 1000+ dollars on Street Fighter and peripherals in order to avoid the truth that he is a washed up has been.
Who the fuck buys stick for 400? Mine is 100 and its fine.
Same kind of person who buys a 500 dollar trashcan or some weird water filter shit for their cat. I hear this mystery man lives in Renton, Washington too.

Wasnt his thrascan 250 and the cofee maker 500? Those the numbers I remember.

My bad. Some of my lore is jumbled. Point remains that DSP will always buy the most expensive thing even if it functions the exact same. WPIG does a great job at picking up on how much of a rube Phil is for every single marketing gimmick out there.

he always had the mentality "you get what you pay for" but forgets a shit ton of these things come from the same sweatshop from china, but with a different brand label on it. he never does research. he just CONSUMES. then cries whenever it turns out he got ripped off. thank god for OIC or he would been homeless by now.

Oh gosh we are getting the dsp tries it engineering part2

Not sure whats going on, just joined DDM

EDIT: I dont know if its just temporary or permanent, but if the latter, he might bring subcount back on the screen.
But would he? How many actual members Phil has that actually renew themselves rather than waiting for a handout? How many LARPers and "ironic" dents actually buy their own memberships? That will obviously be fixed because YouTube won't ever afford losing such a source of income, but Phil would never show member count if it only showed the ones that buy membership themselves.

I'm not even kidding: he opened up the joystick back plate, put his fingers inside, touched the plugs, wires and print plate, and only then remembered to fucking unplug it.

If you still had any trust in this man's knowledge about anything technical-related at this point, this should convince you of the opposite once and for all.

EDIT:

"I'm not asking for contributions while I'm doing this, but please support. I've got NO shout-outs or anything, that's ALL we've got":

So he instantly contradicts himself by asking for contributions, plus lying about not asking for contributions during joystick disassembly streams (I hate this title), as he was guilt-tripping and complaining about getting almost no support during the first disassembly stream.

His brain is so conditioned to the begging routine, he doesn't even hear himself beg anymore. It's a blind spot for his brain at this point.

I missed the beginning of the stream, what is he doing? He has a new stick, no? Why does he take it apart? I DONT GET IT.

He received the $30 joystick part (just the stick), and put it in the Qanba joystick. So it's his PS5 joystick - the new one that a fan is supposedly sending him, will arrive sometime before 10 PM.

EDIT2:

Starts up the PS5, boots into the game, forgot to plug in the joystick:

EDIT3:

He's getting his shit pushed in HARD against the first opponent (Manon). Loses two matches, all four rounds. Gets Perfected on the first round of the third match, and loses the second round of that match too. Three losses in a row.

EDIT4:

Loses the next two matches too (Deejay). He's now theorizing that either the board of the joystick is faulty, or it's the game that's dropping his inputs. Shocker, I know.

EDIT5:

Wins the next three matches (against the same Manon) and concludes the SF gameplay with: "Ok, we got the stick working!"

Proceeds to guilt-trip about there being no contributions to shout out, despite stating very clearly that he doesn't ask for contributions during these dumb-ass joystick-fiddling streams not even 30 minutes ago:

EDIT6:

Doubles down on the begging. Please support the stream, only ONE Superchat so far! He's not going to mention it the whole stream, though. Promised!

(the re-stream was playing music throughout this section, so I clipped it straight from the depths of hell source)
