Lurker here, I wanted to call out something that not enough people seem to, which is Asmongold's support of Rev. Asmon has been a longtime anti-lolicon, only a few months ago he went on a spiel where he said something along the lines of "if you made a Venn Diagram of lolicon enjoyers and pedophiles, it'd be a circle", effectively saying he views 100% of lolicons as pedos. I remember in one stream he went as far as to call Rebecca from Cyberpunk Edgerunners a loli and said she should've been removed from the anime (which got him backlash from some of his audience).
Yet he then goes and watches and promotes Rev, an open lolicon advocate. A guy who is literally KNOWN for being a lolicon advocate. How the fuck does Asmon, and his audience, not see the blatant hypocrisy of being so vehemently opposed to loli yet openly promote a known lolicon defender? It's disgusting. How can he pull up a Rev video and his entire audience doesn't just go "WTF" at this grown ass dude speaking through a loli avatar (even IF they don't already known Rev's a loli lover). Utterly fucking insane. Sorry but Asmon needs to seriously be pressed for this. It's a seriously bad look for him to be so strongly against loli while simultaneously supporting a loli defender. The comments section on a Rev says desu video is typically a pedo echo chamber. But I do think they can be useful for seeing how these people think. I'm going to go on a bit of a deep dive here, so stay with me.
Lolicons are, in many ways, similar to those who possess actual CSAM. As I discussed before, I believe most lolicons try to justify their behavior through associating with like-minded people; they network with other pedos who give each other excuses to keep doing something they know is wrong.
These excuses they develop mentally are called "cognitive distortions" and they are common in actual CSAM offenders as well. Pedophiles will use lots of different justifications to continue viewing CSAM, such as distancing themselves from the actual abuser, adopting a sort of "moral code" of images that are acceptable and not acceptable, and depersonalizing the images (viewing them as objects rather than depictions of abuse):

Again, as with lolicons, networking with other pedos online plays a big part in this "self-justification" process:

Both lolicons and actual CSAM offenders need to mentally justify their behavior because they know that what they're doing is vile. This is how they put their morals aside to keep offending.
Where does Rev tie into this? Well, he's pretty much developed the perfect breeding ground for this sort of "pedo support group." His videos all serve to give excuses to lolis and help fuel these "cognitive distortions" in their minds. People view these videos and agree with Rev's ideas. Then they go into the comments section and find a bunch of other people agreeing with him. It's the perfect excuse for them to keep watching lolishit; "Rev said it's okay! I'm not a pedophile! And look at the thousands of people who agree with him!"
What makes it worse is how blatant it all is. This isn't some underground pedophile ring, or a shady Telegram group; it's thousands of public videos for everyone to see, and it's all being pushed by someone with a sizable fan base, who is routinely cited as a trustworthy source by other content creators.
To be clear, I'm not trying to say that viewing lolicon is as bad as viewing actual CSAM. But I think it's important to understand that these people think in the same way. People will insist that lolicons are not pedophiles, but there are so many similarities that are impossible to ignore.
And for as much as Rev and the lolicons deny it, many CSAM viewers start with legal pornography, move to more extreme things like lolicon, then progress to real child pornography. It happens quite often:
