But Boogie? Boogie has always felt downright evil. He lies. He schemes. He tries to manipulate. Look at the pictures and videos he takes of Dez2, he wants to parade her around. He wants people to see what he managed to 'score'. It's always about trying to come out on top, even though he is one of the most pathetic cows out there. I actually dislike Boogie, I don't feel sorry for him. Fuck Boogie.
I agree. Boogie seems to be 100% aware of what he is doing is bad. Otherwise he wouldn't jump into streams to preempt criticism. See the whole thing with Coffeezilla.
For me Boogie is not even a pathetic cow, his downfall is pretty much due to hubris. Whatever bad things happen to him are earned. I saw more subtle morality tales in Chick tracks than this, but hey, reality is what it is.
There are persons of interest who suffer from mental illness, or circumstances beyond their control. Boogie was a millionaire, with a lot of trust and social capital from the wider YT community but his bad impulse control and ego just messed it all up for him.
If anything, the decade long emotional abuse he pushed on his fans, already soured my opinion about him even before he was considered an open cow. How many times he invented, often contradictory stories about how his family abused him, how many times he sympathy baited with trying to lose weight? The endless suicide baiting?
He always considered his audience nothing more than a money and self validation pit that can be endlessly strip mined. If we look at the documentary, he treats everybody as tools. Yet he expects empathy when he seems to be unable to provide it himself.
While nothing really will happen to him from the crypto scam, it is just one more step towards his inevitable downfall. He has made many enemies, he has no allies left and he became an acceptable target. If anything more and more dirt will be dug up on him, accusations whenever true or false will be made. If Keemstar drops him, that's pretty much it.
The only thing he could do is to drop off the Internet, get rid of the house, move to a cheap trailer. The sunken cost fallacy will keep him hooked, and the idea of that he could turn himself into a "lovable goof" type lolcow. Nah, Boogie you are not sympathetic, neither you won't get Paypigs like DSP does. You are simply too boring to be even talked about unless you make self deprication and drama.
