Phil right now on stream is comparing himself to Trump and basically saying detractor lies could literally get him killed. The levels of mental illness are off the charts it's insane he literally cannot talk about anything without comparing it to himself.

Is he really comparing himself to Trump. Starting to believe Phil is more delusional than Chris-Chan, and that motherfucker is still convinced he is Jesus Christ and Muhammad last time I bothered poking my head into that part of town. I can't watch this shit, he's literally going on about how he has no aspirations for fame and loves being chill.

I really can't handle this guy right now. Might have to detox myself from this vortex.

Phil somehow making the attempted assassination of a former US president into a rant about his detractors and how their lies can lead to real world violence is one of the most mentally ill paranoid things I've heard him say. This guy really thinks we want him dead. Jesus Christ.

I'll give Phil the faintest bit of credit before instantly yanking it away. If he had tweeted *just* the first sentence, I might actually stick up for him and say it was a fair call. After a possible assassination attempt, it does feel pretty tone deaf to try and chill in Stardew Valley. But then Phil had to follow it up with the second sentence. It isn't that Phil thinks it's inappropriate to chill in light of everything that's happening, no, the actual issue was with Stardew Valley specifically, because he can't handle the idea that his chat would want to talk to anything about his god tier level farming simulator gaming.

I'll be real and say I'd probably give him crap if he used it as an excuse to cancel the stream outright, but I still think it'd be received better than what he posted. The only reason I'm not giving him grief over making it about himself is largely because it is so predictable and unsurprising that I don't think it warrants much scrutiny. In all likelihood, Phil would have probably gone on a rant about detractors lies potentially ruining his life and all that jazz whether there was an assassination attempt or not, so that's just business as usual for him.

To be overly critical, I'll also say that Phil is setting a poor example to chat by talking about it in the first place, given his strict "no politics" rule. I actually think it's a good rule, and I try to avoid any sort of streamer chats where people are going on about politics. I don't mind talking politics, and I'd even go so far as to say it's something that I encourage because I think it's good to stay educated. But there's definitely a time and a place for it, and Twitch/YouTube chat is not at all that place. It's not even just because of the audience (though that's certainly part of it) but even in a smaller/more mature chat space, it's just a rough medium because anything more than a few sentences ends up in "wall of text" territory. It's one thing if it's a politically focused stream, but if it's an actual gaming stream, it's just not the right time/place, and I think a lot of people are trying to escape IRL things like that when they're watching streams. Anywho, the point I was trying to make is that by breaking that rule now, Phil is setting the precedent that it isn't a "no political talk" rule, but a "maybe political talk" rule, which is kinda opening the floodgates. Then again, with how small his audience is/how dead his chat tends to be, it's probably a moot point.

Funny hearing Philberts normie takes on media, though he was on the money with his GoT spittle.. book 5 was atrocious and everything after S3 in the show was ass.

He also said how all of the shit on House was ultra unrealistic and impossible, all I know is my wife is a 1st year resident at an ER.. and all throughout med school, she and her friends loved that show. Wait till they hear DSP thinks they are idiots.
