First, the ear: You can see a gauge repair. Now, see those two lumps? That's from piercings at the back. I've seen that on former goths.
Interview with a bystander who claims they were trying to get law enforcement's attention.
Just under 150m. That's within a pretty standard short for Army basic marksmanship. While it can be tricky with windage, it's not a particularly tough shot.
A .22L would work, but doubtful it would have killed the dude with a single dome shot. Now, a 5.56mm has a slight 'rise' in it, again, messing up the shot (they teach you this in basic training) turning a chest shot into a glance at the ear.
Now, IF he was aiming for the chest, he committed a basic mistake of squeezing too hard, or jerking his left hand while 'anticipating the recoil', which would pull it up and left.
There's unconfirmed reports Trump took a hit to the vest, along with some YouTubers showing 'evidence', but nothing official.
Here's bystanders blaming the press for it.

- Progressive Caucus head (Jayapal) put out a statement after the meeting that they ‘conveyed their concerns to Biden’ and would ‘continue working to prevent Trump being elected’ (no mention of Biden being their candidate.)
- Moderate Caucus meeting was ‘tense’ and Biden was ‘defensive.’
- Schumer met with Biden in person today.
Sounds like Joe is cooked.
