I imagine the type of person that would join the secret service is pretty low quality general. Dog shit pay, horrible hours, horrible conditions, impossible to raise a family, you are putting your life on the line every day. Patriotism is dead and gone so any higher quality person would have gotten hired somewhere else.

The donation was made on January 20, 2021. Near the day of Biden's inaguration. If you want to speculate, he might have made the contribution in the wake of the Jan 6th stuff.

His entire world view is 100% in line with supporting NATO and the status quo, as mangled as it is. And the reason for this is that Destiny IRL is an irresponsible goonclown who abandoned his child. He has no education, no qualifications, and grew up in some flyover state like Nebraska cleaning carpets.

In any other reality, in any other timeline, where we did not live in a progressive liberal democracy where entertainment and service are the backbone of the entire economy (because the US can simply devalue the dollar and rob our allies who hold our dollar as a reserve currency), he would be cleaning carpets. He would still be in Nebraska, cleaning carpets, paying child support, and smoking weed while playing Starcraft 2.

This is the only configuration of politics which permits Steve Bonnell to be Destiny. Any threat to his comfort is worth your death to him.
