I'm guessing that the site that's been linked has this person mixed up or mixed together with Maxwell Yearick whose name was floated in this thread before Thomas Crooks was even mentioned. He has a little bit of a resemblance to Crooks and part of the reason he was suspected would be due to having been arrested back in 2020 due to violence at a Trump rally (it's archived so don't worry about it). If you search his name now, there are a few articles claiming he is the shooter.

Maybe he is connected, but I've seen no other sources or information making this connection. The dates are also a little odd, in particular the 2021 Minneapolis ones, as he'd have been 17-18 at the time and probably still in high school.

The donation was made on January 20, 2021. Near the day of Biden's inaguration. If you want to speculate, he might have made the contribution in the wake of the Jan 6th stuff.

That's my theory, essentially that was about the time he (and a lot of other people) started developing the most recent and intense "we have to stop Trump at all costs" mentality, which for him escalated from donating to a progressive PAC, to registering as a fake Republican to try to stop Trump in the primary, and ultimately to this when he reached the "non-violent methods don't work" stage of his particular strain of TDS.
