1. You have everyone’s dna on file (naughty!) or you have enough on file that you can narrow down very fast.
2. You have facial recognition tech that did the grunt work and confirmed it with a swab from the parents

Thats one of the most frustrating things about this. EVERYBODY or practically everybody almost certainly including some dopey longhaired white zoomer these days has a social media and/or electronic trail a mile long. I can't imagine a loser like this doesn't have hard drives worth of thoughts or clues accumulated over the years stashed somewhere. A barely competent LEO could have had his diary or a highly detailed reconstructed profile pieced together from every single step he took across the internet and geoscraped physical location over the past decade xrayed 10x down to the letter and put on blast across the internet by now.
But nope, we have all these fancy tools and infrastructure and highly trained operatives pulling down fat salaries that can instantly pin down a guy selling weed on the dark web or some other guy looking at naughty images and send a predator drone to missile strike a mosquito off their nose. Yet some snot nosed zoomer is still nothing but a big fat question mark nobody knows anything about? All the reporters and investigative youtubers and plucky citizen activists in the world willing to think of any batshit strategy and do anything to get the next scoop but this is one mysterious chestnut they can't crack? Why are we paying the NSA and dozens of other three letter domestic and foreign agencies billions not to mention g00gle and all the other tech companies to stick a 300MP Ultra HD dolby surround sound camera right up the asses of every single citizen 24/7 again when we don't get even a single scrap of voyeuristic content for ourselves? I guess all this trillions of dollars and manpower only catches the guys who don't try to assassinate presidents.
I'm not one to go off into conspiracies at the first chance but it does make you think. Why do they still not have anything but the barest info after all this time and since they probably are lying or stalling what they are doing with what they have found?

The shooters looks to be a soy boy who either wanted to be a hero or wanted to die or probably both
The SS were either inept or stretched to thin to cover everything or again probably both
The MSM is just being the MSM, there is no need for a conspiracy there as this is how they always act. They're desperate and reaching out for anything to help spin these events to aid the Dems, ditto for the usual suspects.
So really we don't need anything crazy here, this soy-boy probably ate too much lefty propaganda on site like Reddit and watched too much MSM telling him how evil Trump was and how Trump had to be stopped at any cost. Having mental issues he probably thought I can either keep living this shitty life or I can go and try to do something and either become a hero, I'm sure in his head Biden would pardon him in November and thank him for bravely saving (D)emocracy, or kill Trump and die a hero to be lauded and praised forever more by a grateful populace.
For once I will disavow the big bad dark state and just go with Occam's razor. This is just some lame soy-boy who ate too much r/politics and r/whitepeopletwitter and who was suffering from mental problems looking to fix his life one way or the other.

Back in 1997, there was The north Hollywood Shootout. Guys with alot of guns and body armor went on a rampage. Twelve police officers got shot and the SWAT team wasn't willing to run the slightest risk to themselves to help fellow police officers.
