Had Trump died:

  1. Monday would be the start of an open GOP convention, and Trump would dominate all political media that no one will care about Biden because that campaign will be deemed DOA by everyone and their dog
  2. The momentum for GOP casual voters will be of such a degree that it doesn't matter who wins the floor vote, they will have total party unity and support not seen since Reagan 1984. They could just write names on ping pong balls and throw them in a bingo machine, it won't matter.
  3. Leftists would be shitting their pants (and they kinda are right now) about what the rural turnout will be, as there is absolutely nothing else that would cause 99% rural turnout rates than Trump getting killed, so we're talking about a historic loss of Senate Democrats, a buttload of House Democrats gone, and untold damage further down.
  4. Similarly, the wave of Progressives getting the ax will pick up. It will be the end of the Working Families Party in NY state.

Doomer Democrats dodged a bigger bullet.

Exactly. I blame their crippling autism. I locked down my profile just now for the first time ever because of it. People don't realize how irritating it is to log in and have 30+ notifications, especially when you are trying to have other discussions and it's easy to miss the notifications for those

If Trump died, the Republican Party would've been screwed in finding a replacement, and whoever it would be would probably be accused of causing it for their political ambitions, not to mention how many Trump supporters are "Trump or Nothing"
Well this is certainly an opinion. Personally, I believe the next person in line would have probably been DeSantis or Vivek. Maybe even a combined ticket of the two? I honestly don't personally know a single "Trump or nothing" Trump supporter, and I'm a Trump supporter.

A word for the witnesses.

Fight! Fight! Fight!

While we may feel anger and frustration in the wake of tonight’s tragic event, it is crucial that we respond with wisdom and grace. As the CEO of Gab, I urge all users to refrain from posting any threats of violence or even remotely hinting at it. Gab disavows all threats of violence and has zero tolerance for them on our platform. Please do not post anything foolish on Gab or anywhere else online. Our enemies are watching closely. Do not post any threats. If you see people posting threats please use the report button to let our mod team know.

We must not give our enemies any reason to lock us up or silence our voices.

Instead, let us fight back with our words, our votes, and our unwavering commitment to freedom and justice.

We must be wise as serpents and harmless as doves, as the Bible says. Let this tragic day serve as a reminder that our unity and faith in the face of adversity is our greatest weapon against those who seek to destroy us. We pray for the families of the victims and for the healing of our nation. As we mourn this devastating attack and loss, let us also stand firm in our resolve to protect our cherished freedoms and the values that unite us.

After tonight’s events I have come to the realization that I no longer want any association whatsoever with any liberals. None.

Not in the community, not at church, not anywhere. The reasons for this decision are rooted in the belief that being around these people poses a threat to our sanity, safety, and families. First and foremost, the constant bombardment of liberal ideologies and beliefs has become a source of mental and emotional exhaustion. The never-ending debates, the constant need to defend our values, and the relentless pressure to conform to their worldview have taken a toll on our mental well-being. These people are insane and in associating with them we allow their madness to infect us.

The safety of our families and communities is at risk when we associate with liberals. The liberal narrative often promotes a sense of victimhood, division, and chaos, which leads to violent protests, property destruction, and even physical harm to those who dare to oppose their views as we witnessed tonight. We must prioritize the safety and well-being of our loved ones by distancing ourselves from those who subscribe to such destructive ideologies. Get and stay far away from these people.

Moreover, the liberal agenda often seeks to undermine the very fabric of our society by attacking traditional values and institutions. Their relentless pursuit of progressive policies and agendas has eroded the sanctity of the family, the importance of religion, and the value of hard work and personal responsibility. By distancing ourselves from liberals, we can protect our families from the corrosive influence of these toxic ideologies and preserve the values that have made our communities strong and resilient.

Finally, it is essential to recognize that liberals are not interested in genuine dialogue or understanding. They are content to dismiss opposing viewpoints as “hate speech” or “bigotry” without engaging in any meaningful conversation. This lack of intellectual honesty and open-mindedness makes it impossible to build bridges and find common ground.

It is better to walk away from these fruitless exchanges and focus our energies on nurturing relationships with like-minded individuals who share our values and beliefs. The decision to sever all ties with liberals is a necessary step to protect our sanity, safety, and families. By distancing ourselves from those who promote chaos, division, and the erosion of traditional values, we can create a safe and nurturing environment where our beliefs and values can thrive. Let us stand firm in our convictions and surround ourselves with those who share our vision for a better future.

In these tumultuous times, it is more important than ever to remember President Trump’s inspiring words from tonight as he got up off the ground: “Fight! Fight! Fight!” as we continue to battle for the soul of our nation, our culture, and our people. The forces that seek to undermine our values, traditions, and way of life are relentless, but so too is our determination to preserve and protect all that we hold dear.

May God have mercy on us.

"REEEE I DONT LIKE SEEING OPINIONS THAT I DONT AGREE WITH I WANT THIS SITE TO BE A HUGBOX BUT LIBERALS ARE THE REAL SNOWFLAKES"

What a pussy. Also, are there even anyone who isn't a bible thumping elderly man with a fetish for obese, elderly conmen on gab?

This isn't Feudalism where the leader of a rebellion is killed and thr followers scatter.

It will unify the GOP in ways thought impossible.

In most states a super high 80-90% rural turnout will obliterate city voting. States like NY would become toss ups.

States like TX that have 5 large cities in it and still its red as hell, would see a Democrat purge in all but D+30 areas.

2 inches would have set in motion a Democrat Wipeout.

I doubt it. Republican policy right now is literally just kissing up to Trump. They have no other positions. If Trump dies, they'd scramble to find a candidate. Hailey would probably get the nomination since she had the 2nd most delegates but who knows?

I said upthread and I'm sticking to this, whoever the nominee is after Trump is killed won't matter.

Trumpers will be activated and seething with rage, and the both sides rhetoric will fall flat because Trump's dead.

The GOP can just play non stop Summer Of Love footage with a Trump memorial banner over it and no audio for the rest of the election.

doubt it. GOP is a cult of personality. The rest are just suits. Vivek, Haley, DeSantis won't get near what Trump gets. They have the charisma of a wet sock. Trump is a retard but he appeals to people more retarded than him

We‘ve already seen what DeSantis looked like on the campaign trail. It had the enthusiasm and support of a wet fart.

Trump managed to lose 2020 despite almost unheard of cult like devotion. I’m convinced Donny will find a way to fuck things up for himself.
I thought there was no way Donald would get the nomination again after losing in 2020 and the riot on January 6th, yet he managed it and here we are now. I didn't think he'd win in 2016 but he did. The point is this year his chances of winning aren't nonexistent.
All the thread that exists so the TDs affected member Hulk Hogan who is still a clueless liberal boomer
I just imagine he spends all day on his boat posting about how much he hates trump and not enjoying his boat

everyone else it's just a bunch of neo Nazi rejects who are angry that Donald Trump is a 90s Democrat shocking to no one
Can't we all just get along and agree Trump is the funniest thing to happen to politics in a long time.

A wet noodle can get the nom and get to the White House.

Congressional Democrats' all-consuming angst over President Biden's candidacy has taken an abrupt backseat in lawmakers' minds in the wake of an assassination attempt against former President Trump.
Why it matters: Democratic lawmakers say their immediate focus is on their personal security and that of their staffs, not on their party's political woes, helping to allow a crucial cooldown period for the embattled president.

  • "We're all just focused on expressing condolences ... and keeping our teams safe," said one House Democrat who has been fiercely critical of Biden.
  • A senior House Democrat suggested the post shooting atmosphere in the party is too "chaotic" for internal battles over leadership.

They gave up the effort to pass the collection plate around to tell Biden to quit. It doesn't matter anymore.

I doubt it. Republican policy right now is literally just kissing up to Trump. They have no other positions. If Trump dies, they'd scramble to find a candidate. Hailey would probably get the nomination since she had the 2nd most delegates but who knows?
She released her delegates early last week. They are free to do what they want.

Had the bullet killed him, I would guess that Eric or one of the other kids and the campaign staff would announce who Trump's VP pick was, then he/she gets introduced at the convention. They would have a lot of floor votes to do (does Trump's VP pick stay in the VP nomination race, or move up to run on the floor vote for P).

Trump's campaign staff would likely immediately transfer over to whoever the delegates pick at the Fiserv Forum. That's gonna be a given since Trump's influence is all over the RNC after McDaniel exited. The whole existing ground network Trump has so far all stays in place, and grows. Even the Trump format of doing rallies would not change.

Trump's guiding (ghostly) hand would still be all over the nomination process, with MAGA GOP state committees like TX and AZ throwing their weight around. So whoever comes out the nominee is going to have a heavy Trump-supporter scrutiny attached to it. Remember nearly all the delegates that are coming from states where Trump took 80% of the primary vote. The influence of Country Club Republicans (think: Dade Phelan in Texas and Kaisich and other weirdos like that) have little influence in their state committees. It's the state committees that draw up the lists of delegates for the candidates.

The whole process would consume all the political attention and energy out of everybody; with most people expecting that the results that come out are likely going to carry in November to a win, since Biden isn't going anywhere and the GOP nominee is not going to be 75+ years old.

Can't we all just get along and agree Trump is the funniest thing to happen to politics in a long time.
I just hope he stays funny.
The upswell of dewy-eyed emotional patriotism following his close brush with death has been a bit unnerving, makes the irrational, anxious part of me believe what they say about Trump not wanting to step down after his second term. Mind you, this isn't a knock to Dolan himself; if back in 2014 the exact same sequence of events played out for Obama I'd be just as uneasy. Though maybe not, considering how little I knew about politics back then and how much less insane politics seemed in those days.
Maybe it's just because I wasn't alive when Ronnie Reagan took a bullet and I'm not used to this sort of patriotic fervor. I dunno. I don't want to live in interesting times.

Not to mention, while Trump does grovel to world leaders like Benji and Putin, he wouldn't grovel to his fellow American politicians like how Desantis, Haley, and Vivek grovel towards Trump to beg for his approval.

You realize we’ve had assassinations attempts before, right? We’ve also had events in recent history like 9/11. None of what you described above actually happened. A lot of this is fever dreams from people who are hoping Trump gets meme’d into office again.

The Support Group Thread’s track record of being right is about zero percent. The same people who assume every minority group will go for Republicans in every election and when it doesn’t go their way immediately blame cheating. The same people who assume Trump will get revenge but forgets that he needs to get cabinet members through Senate approval. The same people who once again thought photos of Hunter Biden’s penis spreading around would mean the end of Biden’s campaign in 2020.
