DS2 is ultimately a flawed game, but at least did some neat things like power stancing, fun levels, breaking magic, level interactivity like pigs digging shit up or blowing up wall, fighting bosses early, and New Game plus having new shit. A lot of the bosses are rushed, gameplay wise shit is broken, and other shit.

DS3 is not a worse game and is objectively better in terms of gameplay and animations, but I just don’t care for it as much. The map is unfinished, they fully committed to getting rid of poise, the visual design is worse that 2 despite having better lighting, it’s way too many swamps, and basically every boss being some guy in armor.

Both games are unfinished with Dark Souls 2 being the more rushed, but fuck if I don’t like it more.

Same here, it took some doing to get the settings right but man the game has aged very well

I'd have no issue paying full price for a re-release/remaster version for PC

I remember this thread being 13 pages long or so, now it's almost 113!

I returned here after his video on the Elden Ring DLC. I played it before I even watched his video and he's spot on. Had the same thoughts as him for the most part. Sekiro is just peak, and Elden Ring is a step back, all it brought was an mostly empty open world. Still had fun every now and then, but the fights are getting annoying. Gimmicks are seeming more fun...

Yeah uh...I mentioned liking DS2 and it just went from there. Seriously I don't remember seeing that guy in this thread before but if I had to guess he search up Elden Ring on this site, found this thread, and started sperging about...DS2. Also yeah, Synth is a magnet for conversation due to the topics he usually brings up, especially in this day and age where everything is shit and filled with propaganda, not surprising it's reached 100+ pages. I'm also starting to think Sekiro was accidentally good, I didn't expect to see ER be another Sekiro of course but man, with how good Sekiro was you'd think they'd go that direction for a while.

A lot of good and genius things are made by accident it seems. Sekiro was really innovative for a 'souls game'. You could jump, swim, fling yourself around, and blocking was actually a viable strategy or even just necessary for progression.

Same, Scholar is gank central beyond being made hard for the sake of justifying a DS2 re-release. I suspect a lot of people that disliked DS2 disliked because they played Scholar. I remember back on the OG DS2 time, there didn't existed nearly as much controversy surrounding the game. There is quite a few videos that go over this:

Gundam used to be more blunt, like his video on Etika. "Black people who find success tend to make fools of themselves and act retarded" or something along those lines. Ever since the Pokimane incident he's been getting softer since it's so easy for him to lose any income he makes on YouTube, so he rather make safe topics while also not getting too far away from the usual grifter topics and alienate his audience. Not yet at least, don't think he can pull a ShoeOnHead and do a 180 on his channel's audience since leftoids tend to be more popular.
