Alexandria Occasio-Cortez said some stuff.

AOC Compares Trump Win To "Facism" As Biden Appeals For Calm

New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez posted to X, formerly known as Twitter, Sunday evening calling Democrats, who are already conceding to a second Donald Trump presidential term, fascists.

The outspoken Democratic representative shared an article from Axios that notes a senior House Democrat said, "we've all resigned ourselves to a second Trump presidency." Ocasio-Cortez called for anyone who "feels this way" to retire to make room for those who will fight for the election.

"If you're a 'senior Democrat' that feels this way, you should absolutely retire and make space for true leadership that refuses to resign themselves to fascism," Ocasio-Cortez posted to X. "This kind of leadership is functionally useless to the American people. Retire."

The Axios article Ocasio-Cortez referred to shared that a senior House Democrat called the "post-shooting atmosphere...too 'chaotic' for internal battles over leadership."

Many have called for President Joe Biden to drop out of the 2024 presidential race. At least 20 sitting Democrats have called for the president to step down as the party's presidential nominee after his performance at the first presidential debate last month. Celebrities like George Clooney and Stephen King as well as politicians like Rep. Greg Stanton of Arizona and Rep. Brittany Pettersen of Colorado have joined the growing list of people concerned with Biden's abilities to hold office.

"Joe Biden saved our country once, and I'm joining the growing number of people in my district and across the country to ask him to do it again. Please pass the torch to one of our many capable Democratic leaders so we have the best chance to defeat Donald Trump, who is the greatest threat to the foundation of this country that we have ever faced," Rep. Pettersen wrote.

Ocasio-Cortez's comments follow leading political scientist Mark Shanahan telling Newsweek that Saturday's shooting at former President Donald Trump's rally in Butler, Pennsylvania "has the power to swing the 2024 presidential] election firmly to the Republicans."

Minutes into Trump's speech at the rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, loud popping noises were heard as people huddled for safety. Trump appeared to clutch his ear and fell to the ground. When he stood back up, surrounded by Secret Service agents, as blood was seen running down his face.

The gunman has been identified as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania.

Crooks allegedly killed Corey Comperatore of Sarver, Pennsylvania, a 50-year-old volunteer firefighter. The two surviving victims — 57-year-old David Dutch, of New Kensington, Pennsylvania, and 74-year-old James Copenhaver, of Moon Township, Pennsylvania have been upgraded to stable condition according to authorities.

Broadcast footage captured the moment Trump grabbed his right ear, before ducking down, as shots were heard. As he was led away from the stage by Secret Service agents Trump defiantly raised his clenched fist, sparking cheering from supporters.

Shanahan argued Republicans will contrast Trump's fist raising defiance with ongoing concerns over the fitness of 81-year-old President Joe Biden.

Just moments after Ocasio-Cortez's post, President Joe Biden took the stage at the Oval Office to address the assassination attempt on Trump.

Biden took an opposing tone from Ocasio-Cortez, calling for unity throughout the nation.

"Disagreement is inevitable in American democracy," Biden said. "While we may disagree, we are not enemies."

Interesting development, confirms my thoughts that this SS team severely bungled the situation. They knew that building was a vulnerability and failed to cover it. Also confirms that the sniper teams did not need some magic permission to kill armed assailants.
In addition to the the slack-jawed local cops, who seem to be composed of the halt, the blind, and the mentally fucking deficient.

August surprise is second assassination attempt against Trump.
September surprise is Biden shitting himself on stage during the debate in a very audible and obvious way.

October surprise is Biden dying of old age and causing all hell to break loose.

It's always been bad. I remember back in the early Bush years that there was just as much unhinged political shit flinging on popular web forums due to how close the election was and although 9/11 did a lot to bring the country together in the immediate aftermath, by 2003 it was just as bad or maybe even worse than it had ever been. I think the difference is that there wasn't anything like modern social media or smartphones that allowed people to perpetually be connected to practically everyone else on the internet. People flung their shit, but then they stepped away from their keyboards for a while, and unless you were on that same web forum with them or read their blog (which was just starting to take off at the time) you never would have known that the shit was being flung.

There's also a case of people having fuzzy memories and more recent events seeming to have greater magnitude even if they're no different. Plenty of people were calling Bush a Nazi, protesting on college campuses, and all of the same shit we see today. If anything was different it was the news media, which while by no means good, wasn't the unhinged dumpster fire that it is today.

I meant on mainstream social media and "IRL".

Trump Assassination Attempt Drinking Game:

-Drink every time a talking head refers to Trump as the President rather than ex-president or former president or even a president.
-Finish the bottle when Joe Biden does it
I had a very bad case of this IRL. :story:

Then they're claiming he advocated for "genocide" because he didn't want to play an active role in the Ukraine's future.

do not forget that these people want you broke, dead, your kids raped and brainwashed, and they think it's funny.

This is crazy shit. A few days ago I had a dream in which Trump was wounded by something that could have easily been fatal (I think he got hit by a truck lol). To be clear, I'm not super invested in politics and while pretty conservative I'm far from a Trump stan. So to dream about him was a first but I just figured it was a result of all the buzz around the election cycle. Anyway, in my dream he was bloodied but ultimately recovered. Many were celebrating that he had been hurt, even before knowing if he was alright, and I found myself yelling at all of them. I ranted about how political stances had blinded them to the point of lacking human decency - the type that doesn't wish death on a person you've never met simply because they're different. As an example, many of my relatives can't stand Biden or his administration. I'm proud to say that not a single one of them would celebrate if he was shot at.

All this is to say that when the assassination attempt (which it was, in spite of what Wikipedia wants to say about it) went down, I was stricken by de ja vu. Trump had been shot and before the smoke had even cleared I saw the ugliest heads rear from the internet to cheer, to lament that the shot hadn't been better, and to try to manipulate the story as quickly as possible. "Oh, that silly Trump. He fell at a rally! And those conservatives always make fun of Joe for falling down. They should feel pretty embarrassed right now!"

Disgusting behavior, sure, but you don't need me to tell you that. One thing is absolutely certain in my mind at this point; so long as the hidden hands don't play with this election, Trump is guaranteed to win. If he doesn't, then there is going to be such backlash that January 6th will seem like a joke. I think it's becoming clearer to people on both sides of the coin just how dire things have gotten, and how much the government meddles and lies.

I always looked at Trump as a meme. After seeing that video, though, I'm sort of inspired by him. To have a reaction such as his after being shot at is far from common. I think that, even for just a moment, we saw a man who genuinely cares about his country. "Fight".

You know what? I think that's a fair point. I can't speak for everyone else but I'm kind of sick of just scraping by. Kind of sick of being lied to by the media and academia alike. Kind of sick of being told "these falsehoods, which you know are falsehoods, must be affirmed and celebrated by you. You must lie with a smile on your face or we'll take your job and your sense of peace". Nah, fuck those people. I want to go back to being honest again. I want to fight for something that actually matters. And the first thing I'm going to do is pay very close attention to everyone who is openly wishing that Trump had died. I'll remember them as men against their fellow man, and if they're American, I'll remember them as people who either don't understand democracy or want it done away with.

Personally I feel like the best thing that can happen is they have the same things done to them.

I'm actually wondering if this means they will tone down the rhetoric and attacks against Trump, as literally nothing they can do can stop him? It would be nice if the hostility gets turned down a notch.
No probably not. Mainstream media, maybe. But everyday libs will say he's literally hitler who staged an assassination attack and basically the devil incarnate. Very little hope for the deeply brainwashed.

Are these people serious?

So if a farmer squeezed fresh milk from a grass fed cow and put it on the dining table, they would be screaming about pasteurization?

I want to ask these people why we pasteurize milk.

I mostly agree.

We aren't going to get the hilariously glorious shock and horror like we did in 2016, however, never underestimate what these lunatics are capable of. I still anticipate some rioting, and definitely a trend of violence against white people and Trump supporters for the next few years.
Oh my God I need to hear them seethe again, I need it so bad, I'm shaking with anticipation.

I don't think this will reduce their reaction any. If anything, feeling so hopeless against the prospect of Trump winning will only make them even more deranged, and I'm looking forward to it. We're seeing it already.

whats the over/under we get start getting xeets of TDS victims getting knocks on their door from the DHS?

they pushed the narrative of "Trump is literally hitler and you need to do something NOW" online for years now. They know its bullshit, they know that we know its bullshit, but they kept doing it because they didn't think anything big would come of it. Now something big has come of it, and now they get to reap the consequences. I'd be surprised if they dont turn down the rhetoric after this.

AOC will fall in line eventually. She always does. She has a lot of "progressive bark," and absolutely NO bite. She's still Nancy Pelosi's bitch.

I do think that the Dems are in major panic mode after last night, and I can see a majority of them toning down the rhetoric if the typical media gaslighting doesn't work. Right now, the media is trying to tell the populace that the shooter was a Republican ... Once that shit gets debunked real quick and/or falls on deaf ears, then the Dems will start toning it down.
