Mozilla just added "Privacy-Preserving Attribution" backdoor for advertisers to Firefox 128 without notifying users - Devnigger says users are too dumb to make an informed decision to opt in

It's enabled by default and the update doesn't notify you in any way that this has been added.

Edit: Fucking late but I'll keep this thread here since it's about the official release, explains how to disable it, and it mentions Bas Schouten's bullshittery.

I just like how the Bas (the Mozilla dev) basically said that people are too stupid to read a post and enable the ad measurement thing for themselves, so the browser was configured to enable it by default. It's such a paper-thin excuse.

Do these idiots not realize that their browser userbase are made up of a minority of tech savvy end users that are more likely to run Linux over Windows? Firefox users aren't boomers, they're the exact type of end user to recognize what they're doing and this will cause them to jump ship for Braver shores.

There are people online who act like using Firefox instead of a Chromium browser is anti-capitalist praxis but shit like this makes me not regret switching to Brave.
Firefox literally only exists because of Google giving them free money since it's cheaper than dealing with anti-monopoly bullshit.

With that in mind... what the fuck is Mozzarella doing that they have nearly half a billion in expenses and half of it is software?!

Like I said, it's basically a way to keep Google from getting dragged in for anti-trust hearings.
That said, it seems like Mozilla basically gives that money away to the kind of shitlib political groups Google would support anyway.
Man, if I were fucking crazy, I would also say that Google are using the Mozilla Foundation to launder money into political interests group.

I have a feeling that the under the table condition with Google is "you can spend the money on anything you want except improving the browser".

And they wonder why Firefox popularity is dropping like a stone...
A shit browser that is slower, looks uglier and in my experience more broken than any chromium alternative while still doing the same shady shit most Chromium browsers do. Might as well use the more faster and stable browser.

I remember faggotfox crashing just because I opened the fucking OSK in Windows because my laptop keyboard was broken at the time. Fuck that gay browser and fuck Mozilla.
