Why this is funny to me is because one of Anisa’s biggest “supporters” is only lurking around because she’s married to Ian, someone who knows Joji, and it’s the closest they’ll ever get. That’s definitely part of it, that many of these people ostracized their own friends and family. I witnessed it many times. Mostly it’s the 2nd one but to add more nuance specifically for people like Anita and iDubbz - they cultivated a leftist audience and misread this event as their shot to get a big viral tweet. Lots of people on Twitter really tanked their whole careers doing this - political event happens, so make sassy or extreme takes hoping your viral tweet leads to more sales for whatever it is you REALLY want to do.
