As a Teamster myself, Vaush and his fans are absolute retards for stating how "omg dude he's going to be voted out! How could he do this! Class Traitor!". They're very out of touch with reality of the political leanings of the average union worker's politics. Especially Teamster's internal politics.

The reason why O'Brien despite being left leaning himself isn't this chest beating leftist who shills troons and other virtue signals like Vaush and his fans want is because the average Teamster is MAGA leaning. O'Brien would be voted out and the Teamsters would face a mass decertification crisis. On top of that, Teamsters doesn't want to end up shooting themselves in the foot like UAW did with the president doing leftist chest beating. As right now many unions are trying very hard to unionize the deep south. You know what fucks over those efforts? Being some turbo leftist who only talks about leftist troon virtue signal shit all the time. That's why the UAW is getting rejected from auto plants in the South despite interest in unionization there. Teamsters has success due to them recognizing the average working guy is right wing and catering to that. Because the national leadership aren't out of touch retards even if they're left leaning.

Beyond that, people like Vaush are cancer in Teamster union locals. A Teamster local the next state over that I won't name is already dealing with decertification issues and lost 2/3rds of their members in the past 10 years because it got taken over by leftist college students who spend union dues on themselves lavishly and leftist political projects over unionization efforts and getting better contracts. So members feel ignored and just decertify.

I like O'Brien. I don't agree with his personal politics but that's irrelevant since he's proven to do his job well. He's gotten better contracts at pretty much every major Teamsters contract so far. He doesn't waste time on his personal beliefs as all he cares about is ensuring members get good pay and benefits. As he should. Teamsters is the most successful union in the US for a reason. Their number 1 concern is getting good contracts for its members and gaining new members. Not being some leftist LARP group. This is why the most leftist unions like UNITE HERE, RWDSU, and a couple others are useless and facing decertification problems.

I've followed this thread for a long time and what a sight Vaush has become. He used to be an entertaining debate-lord type cow, but his piss and vinegar is gone. He's completely buck-broken and all of that old confidence and bravado's been shorn away.
