I remember watching his big Coming Out video back when it dropped and finding it odd that he described his pre-transition self as "an actor performing a part", or something to that effect -- it's as if Ollie's entire inner world revolves around this pathological need to be respected by others, and everything he does is meant to further that goal. Entirely uncurious about the industry he's trying to break into. Has absolutely no clue the level you need to reach to get your pitches picked up instantly, which is almost always purely on reputation. Hasn't spent any time learning about all the people who delivered hits and never again got something picked up. No clue about the people who have been bought and buried just for good relations involving others. Thinks that somebody who has absolutely nothing to his name, who is pitching incredibly niche garbage, should somehow be in the first group.

I have to assume he hasn't changed the pitch at all after the first nine rejections. Why should he have to compromise the brilliance? Just fix the industry jeez. This is the NHS and its scarcity all over again.

The last admiral of the Triarchy in season 1 of HotD, Craghas Drahar (the crab feeder) had literally no lines of dialogue, the character was all costume and body language. I hope we get something similar for Sharako Lohar. Who arrives with fleet of 90 warships (30 for each city state of the Triarchy alliance). Big naval battle occurs, an important character is captured and the fleet is critically wounded, and its revealed Lohar betrayed the other 2 city states and sent all their men and ships to die as the survivors are neatly all from the same city state of Lyseni as Lohars. A famous courtesan wants him dead and so hes murdered off screen by men who want her favour. All in all we will see Olly either violently stabbed to death or tortured to death after being a selfish dickhead and losing a battle.

Ollie's colleague from The Acolyte, Manny Jacinto, got in the papers today after his interview with GQ. He was gracious about the fact that his major role in Top Gun: Maverick had been entirely eliminated and he only found out at the premier he'd been reduced to a barely glimpsed background character with no lines of dialogue.

Admittedly that film probably had enough money behind it to make reshoots trivial, but I don't doubt they could basically erase his character on HoTD with no real impact to the final product.
