There have always been limits on free speech when it comes to violence, especially political violence, and particularly when it comes to threats to the president’s life. It’s the entire basis of that WKUK sketch, and why it’s so funny.

To be clear, I don’t think Destiny has crossed that line, at least not yet. And I don’t support attempts to get him de-platformed.
But comparing rhetoric regarding political violence to any other form of speech isn’t a fair comparison. It’s something that even the first amendment doesn’t protect from government intervention and prosecution. It sits in its own, special category, and has for over a century. This isn’t simply “speech people don’t like” like an off color joke about troons, blacks, whites, Biden, trump, or whatever have you.
