Not to defend him whatsoever, but I think what he was struggling to articulate there was that he was catching racist heat (rightfully so, since his choices were motivated solely by DEI) for appointing two separate black individuals to extremely high positions (Lloyd Austin as SecDef and KBJ as SCOTUS justice).

After (hilariously) reducing Austin to “the black man,” he says “I named” before mentioning KBJ. To me, that doesn’t sound like he was calling her SecDef or a man. He was attempting to tout his two diversity hires, but he’s just too mushbrained to properly express himself at this point, so it comes out as mealy-mouthed, jumbled shit.
