Happy Pride Month, everybody! Today is a very special day. I have a big, important personal announcement to share with everyone, so please read on for a big life update!
Ten months ago I realized that I was trans. I’ve been privately transitioning during this time with the tremendous support of my family, friends, and the staff at Linkorporated. The sheer volume of support and love I have received has been endlessly uplifting, and I’ve never been happier with who I am. I’m so, so happy to now be able to share that joy with everyone here.
I’ve been going by Jess and using she/her pronouns. I’ve updated my name and profile picture not only here but also across the web
Please don’t worry about messing up from time to time! I still misgender/misname myself all the time, even this far in. Likewise, I’m an absolutely open book about everything related to my transition, so if you have any questions about my personal journey, or just transgender-related stuff in general, please feel free to ask here or wherever you’re most comfortable.
I truly want to be a positive influence in the LGBT community. If being the owner of Zelda Universe and being openly trans can help even one person who is struggling with their own identity and feelings of acceptance, especially after the recent Supreme Court rulings, then I want that person to know that they are valid and have a future, one which will be so much better than they ever thought possible.
