They aren't even prepping the general populace for Kamala. She's been MIA for weeks now. She's pretty much disappeared since the debate. If there were plans for anybody to replace Biden, then they missed the window of opportunity for them to let another Democrat candidate shine.

She's been on the campaign trail doing events instead of Joe while he tries to prepare his reputation with the party and media on Capitol Hill. Her plan is probably to flip Biden's loyal donors to her side while he's incapable of doing events to appease them.

Why give Trump the chance to add it to his speech? If anything they wait until after or a few days later to reset the news cycle.

Given Trump's speech start is known in advance it's not hard to time to come out with it right after he hits the stage. Doubt it'll happen, but it would lead to some very interesting media whiplash over which to give live coverage to.

I seriously don't know how they can pull off a candidate switch this close to the Democrat National Convention and this close to the election in general.

I feel like if they had an actual plan to replace Biden, then they'd push some potential candidate to the limelight to generate at least some hype, but that hasn't happened whatsoever. And with Newsom's latest extreme policy in California, I highly doubt there are any plans for him to run this time around.

My gut is telling me that this whole "Biden has covid" thing is a coverup to (a) hide the fact that the Dems are in panic mode and in-fighting mode right now, and (b) to put the old man back in the basement because they know the Dem campaign bid for President is all but done at this point and they don't want him ruining things for the candidates on the down ballot. EDIT: There's also the very real possibility of (c) The Biden family is using covid to hold out until the Convention for the nomination, lol.

The only decent-ish news the Democrats have at this point is that they still have a good chance of taking back the House. They still have something to gain in November. Best thing they can do to salvage that chance is to distance the Biden Administration from the Democrats running for Congress.

Still really weird. Not enough commentary and investigation being done on the bomb angle, not even to explain that he had it around. What sort of bomb was it? What was he even planning with it?

If you know how to do that then maybe, but I'm not sure how that kind of system works. I imagine that would be a better way to do it if you wanted to be able to detonate something anywhere any time, but if your two targets are 'nearby' and 'back home' then I think that's a bit overkill. This was just 'what could someone figure out and pull off with things they already own'

The bombs are definitely the weirdest part and it's crazy no one is talking about it. I understand it's less 'glamorous,' for lack of a better word, since nothing happened with them, but I would at least like to know how bad it would have been had they gone off. I can understand not saying what they were/how they were made so as to not inspire copycats but the fact that there's nothing really makes my almonds tingle.
