The delegates are legally bound to nominate him, the DNC is staffed with Biden loyalists (that's why they closed out any serious primary challengers) and they can't 25 him without him issuing a legal challenge which means 2/3rds of Congress (both chambers) have to be unanimous in booting him

The only way he's going is if he drops dead. That's the only way
I think you're wrong on that. He already publicly said he's released his delegates. If he goes back on that, it will be even more over for him, as it would smash the narrative of "kind uncle joe" and usher in the narrative of "old, out of touch man who refuses to give up power".

I kind of hope the 25th is used though. That will just be so much more milk I'll need an 18 wheeler tanker to store it all.
The 25th is activated by the VP and:
1) Majority of principle officers of executive departments
or
2) A body that congress provides by law

The 25th is deactivated upon presidential certification the inability no longer exists UNLESS the VP and either of the two bodies above certify that he in fact ISN'T fit.

In that case, it THEN goes to congress for a two thirds vote. This vote is where it gets funny. Based on what house and senate leaders have already told him behind closed doors, I'm willing to be they see this as their way out. They will tell him not to fight it, that they will vote against him if he does. And if he does, then it will be the republicans' turn to decide if they want to remove him or not as they will be needed for the vote to be had. Keep in mind, they have 21 days to determine this, so republicans can actually stonewall this for almost a month, in the peak of election season, and watch democrats squirm as Kamala starts to fuck shit up.

He addressed it in full the day Trump announced him:
5:22

Speak for yourself.

They don't look anything like each other. Even just comparing to his picture on the day of the shooting, it's obvious to me they don't look the same.
THanks! I'm going to check out that movie based on the book Vance wrote about his childhood: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hillbilly_Elegy_(film)

Where have you read that? I've seen nothing about that. In fact, the only thing I have seen is that Biden's campaign people are going around calling up delegates and leaning on them to make sure they're still loyal and they know what will happen to them if they go faithless or whatever

Am I missing something here? I thought the GOP/DNC internal elections for nominee were completely outside of the purview of the government.

Like, I'm getting the feeling either you or I are seriously confused about the electoral process here.

I too wish I lived in a delusional realm of retardation. Trump has already made jokes and statements on if Biden stepped down, he is clearly ready for whoever is his opponent. Plus imagine thinking Harris is your fucking ticket to victory unless you cheat. It’s just crazy how big of faggots Redditors are lol.

what percentage of the leftys on reddit are still real people these days?
so many are obvious shills but there has got to be some real tards mixed in there thinking they are having genuine interactions
I think its gotten really bad these days, like under 20% of the users on any political sub are actual genuine (non paid shill) real people

They aren't wrong. Trump's speech will draw a massive audience, and Biden stepping down is about the only thing that could upstage him. But that's a massive risk to take just to troll Trump about ratings.

If it happens at all, I think it happens late on Sunday. Give Trump his bump, let the news cycle calm down for a bit, let the Sunday shows expend themselves on random speculation. Then dump the announcement going into a work week when people will be too busy to obsess over it.

Lyndon Johnson declining to run for re-election is part of what turned the 1968 convention into a disaster, so we need it to happen soon for history to rhyme like pottery again.

Are we just gonna ignore the part where the GoP just promised to build orbital factories over America?

Expanding Freedom, Prosperity and Safety in Space

Under Republican Leadership, the United States will create a robust Manufacturing Industry in Near Earth Orbit, send American Astronauts back to the Moon, and onward to Mars, and enhance partnerships with the rapidly expanding Commercial Space sector to revolutionize our ability to access, live in, and develop assets in Space.

I don't know how viable that is but it sounds cool as fuck

My interpretation is that this is him effectively releasing his electors to vote however they want. I understand he did it as a ploy of confidence, but IMO it really does open the floodgates for the powers that be at the DNC to start pushing these delegates to vote against him. I could be wrong though.
