Kind of impressive that they actually got a few things right. The mods of /r/whitelcloaks had the mentality of edgy teenagers, so yes, screenshots of other subreddits were posted and snarky comments were made. Yes this is a violation of ToS (I think?), but we all know dozens of subreddits who can get away with this shit. Still, the mods did kind of bring this on themselves. In fact, the intellectual successor of /r/whitecloaks, https://www.reddit.com/r/The_Black_Tower/ has implemented and stuck to a strict no discussion of other subreddits rule and has so far avoided any issues with the Reddit High Sheriffs, at least from what I've seen.

Beyond that, what they didn't address is the fact that the subreddit dedicated to the TV show, https://www.reddit.com/r/WoTshow/ certainly smells like an Amazon plant, overrun by 'bot accounts masturbating over how glorious the Wheel of Time TV show is. Among other things, they did the SJW thing of autobanning anyone who posted on /r/whitecloaks. When the list of mods of the subreddit was publicly available they were all either new accounts or the sort of accounts that moderate 87 other subreddits. Interesting that that is hidden. This other subreddit generated a lot of the content on /r/whitecloaks, usually in a "Why the fuck was I banned from a subreddit I'd never visited before?" way? It honestly got a bit tedious by the end.

Not that any of this matters, I guess, since it concerns books few have read and a TV show even fewer have watched. Ah, well, a bit of autism over the past never hurt anyone, I guess.

My one thought is that they're karma farming, but this is way less efficient than just stealing someone else's post or finding a picture of a blck guy or soemthing and throwing it up on some mega subreddit like pics or funny and trying to soak up easy upvotes.
