That's a weird passive aggressive thing Reddit does to subreddits it doesn't want. They ban the moderators (whether deserved or not) then ban the subreddit for being "unmoderated." And any requests made to be given the subreddit (on https://www.reddit.com/r/redditrequest/ ) as moderator/admin are ignored; you're not even told no. Very strange way of going about things, but that's reddit.

First time I saw this happen was to /r/whitecloaks, which of all things was a subreddit hostile to the Wheel of Time TV show. They banned the mods, then banned the subreddit for being unmoderated. Mystifying.
