I only recently learned of this individual. Before I dig into previous pages of this thread, I thought I'd drop my impression based on a few vids I've watched so far. Maybe you'll tell me I'm totally off-base.

I think Destiny has some fixtures of intelligence. So you could say he's 'intelligent' and I wouldn't really find myself at odds with the assertion. But I think he has blind spots, lacks a highly evolved intuition, and doesn't appear to have much self-awareness or ability to question himself in ways that are meaningful. His mental machinery is mostly reactive and directed outward. So you have a guy that has the ability to take in loads of information, shelve it somewhat cohesively, and then chain it together with some rapidity and endurance that suits his aims. It makes for a leftist that can pull their own weight in a debate, or at least appear to most of the time, and sometimes there's a flash or two in the pan. But I think he rattles more than anything, and comes off (at least to me) as an incredibly weak thinker. But that's just my biased impression.

Pretty accurate summary. He's of slightly above average intelligence, not a prodigy by any means, but is pretty intelligent and has a high vocal IQ. I would say he's above average intelligence, but i added "slightly" because he lacks foresight, has terrible impulse control, is emotionally immature and quick to anger. When i first listened to Destiny debate someone i came away with the impression that he was intelligent and well informed, and then i looked into some of the subjects he was debating and found out he was actually skewing information or outright lying in some cases. After observing him for longer it became apparent that he thinks he is much smarter than he actually is and just cares about "winning" so will use every underhanded trick in the book to win a debate whilst accusing his opposition of being "bad faith".

Steven is your quintessential 2009 psuedo intellectual neckbeard atheist type. He realised he could make money from being a political streamer though, so decided to dedicate his all to it. He doesn't actually do research, he will just get his sycophants to send him links and will read Wikipedia and memorise statistics and key bits of information without delving in too deep to the subject he is debating, he just needs some statistics and quotes to make it look like he is well informed and due to his high vocal IQ and trickery he can misdirect and overwhelm most of his opposition, it also helps that he usually debates low hanging fruit. Just watch his debate with Ryan Dawson about Syria, Assad and Middle Eastern politics and you will see what happens when he actually debates someone who is well versed on a subject, the surface level understanding he gains from Wikipedia/news articles etc crumbles straight away, so he will start trying to change topics or misdirect his opposition, if that fails he will either rage quit or in Ryans case, sit there quietly whilst occasionally chirping in with an insecure tone of voice.
