Now we sit back and wait for the spin

I can't wait to see MSBCN tomorrow morning. I wonder if they will yank Morning Joe again to keep him quiet?
They're going to try to discourage people from watching it "Trump goes on long rambling speech that puts audience to sleep: luckily we've summarized the key points for you..."

Nessun dorma?

Weird choice, is it explained by Trump lore or did they toss in a bit of opera as inclusivity?

More for tradition as it's the closing number for Turandot. Kinda fitting to use it to close out the RNC again. Trump also used it in 2016 and 2020 I think

It's like poetry...
you see it rhymes

It inherently can't. The RNC was a clear showcase of utmost unity and agreement on the path forward. The Democrats, as I know them due to this board, are in absolute fucking shambles and discord.

And it's all their own fault. God this thread is fucking fun.
I can't wait for them to talk about Trump the whole time because that is the only thing that they can agree on.

Trump slips back to his usual self and becomes a brash, aggressive America first patriot who wants America to succeed and is angry about the harm being done to it.

Biden slips back into his usual self and forgets the name of one of his highest ranked cabinet members, calls Trump his VP and Putin president of Ukraine.

Vote wisely, vote Trump 2024

It's a generally memorable aria and Puccini writes some great music.
You can dig into the context if you want, and I guess it works.
Tldr Calaf has, after solving the three riddles of Turandot, won her hand in marriage. She refuses as she's a cunt (also was raped by a previous arranged marriage and despises men because of it), so Calaf offers her a challenge of his own: If she can discover his name by dawn, he will be killed. She them proclaims that no one shall sleep tonight (nessun dorma). Then intermission, then the aria at the top of act 2.
