I watched Trump's speech and drove to the corner store. My radio was tuned to Progressive Talk on Sirius XM and Michelangelo Signorelli (a catty gay guy who managed to escape the 90's without catching AIDS) was covering the events of tonight.

He was trying to fact check Trump's allegation that terrorists have made it over our border by playing audio from someone stating that terrorists are in our country (I think Mayorkas) and then immediately tried to pretzel his way into accusing Republicans of saying all immigrants are terrorists (because immigrants are brown).

It was mind numbingly stupid.

Now, is it better for the Republicans to reject the vote so the Democrats wallow in their own shit even longer, or to approve it and have the chaos of Kamalah Harris giving everything up?

If they tried something like that it would destroy all confidence in the democrat party and create a giant spectacle for the U.S. citizens and the whole world to laugh at.
you can’t forcibly remove the sitting president and deprive them of the nomination going against democracy without major consequences.
