Most people cannot handle not being religious, I'm an atheist myself and it seems like most other can't handle simply not believing, they have to worship something else instead. Most of them are probably people who would be Christians who have been convinced to hate god.

Any logical thinker would look at the world and see Christianity as a general good any and every ideology has been used by evil people to do evil things but the general dispostion of the adherents is what truly matters (Fuck Islam). I see the moral values of Christians as something worth preserving i just don't believe we should follow them because god told us too, it's the culmination of the moral works of good people since history began.

Most religions come with a prescribed moral code for a person to follow. There isn't much to think about or to worry about, it's just what god or whatever says you're supposed to do. Even if you're skeptical of religions it's still easy to realize that these are codes that have been forged in thousands of years of human experiences. Even some of the rules seem a bit odd, there was at one point a very good reason for them and any that might have existed in the past but weren't particularly useful aren't still in the code.

If you don't have that religion and its belief structure, now you suddenly have to figure out what the hell is or isn't moral for yourself. Most people just aren't capable of that or aren't willing to take the time to really sit down and to think about it in order to be able to justify it to themselves. Even most of those who make the effort are probably going to wind up picking some bad things to put in that code or with contradictory beliefs that they can't really explain.

But at the same time we need these people who will play outside of the existing bounds. The Christianity of today is not the same as the Christianity of 500 years ago, which was also different from Christianity at its inception roughly 2,000 years ago. Even that can be viewed as a heretical offshoot of existing religious codes that had existed and evolved over thousands of years before that.

Religion or any specific one is certainly not perfect, but the odds that a person will develop a better moral code to follow if they start from scratch is incredibly small. In much the same way most genetic mutations are not beneficial and straying too much from the existing code tends to result in a dead end that does not propagate.

It's a legitimate conflict of interest. Bukele's crackdown means that MS-13 and all those guys flee here, which is a problem for us. El Salvador is still quite small and poor, so pursuing them with anything more substantial isn't in the cards. This is also a conclusion I have reached. I was really into the Atheism movement in the early 2000s and a statement that really stands out in my mind that all of them said was: “I don’t need a God to be good.” This was said in response to Christians pointing out that without religion, they have zero moral framework with which to assess right and wrong.

Where are all these atheists now? They’re worshiping the soyence. They’re reevaluating the age of consent and whether or not animals can consent. They’re blowing their mind out in hard drugs.

I have reached two conclusions:

1) All the trendy atheists of the early 2000s took their Christian upbringing for granted and incorrectly assumed their moral code was independent from their Christian beliefs.

As an atheist who still has a working moral framework and none of those flaws, I think it has less to do with them not having god, and more to do with literally all of those “prominent” atheists being raging lefty retards.
The Republican Party was seen as the god party back then and so being a lefty was their way of fighting religion.

That’s why even the libertarian atheists like Penn Juliet have completely cucked by this point.

I’ve also argued for years that if the republicans focused less on god, which is already supposed to be separated from the government, that they wouldn’t have lost the youth vote

I've not met a Dem Zoomer outside of Trade School/college. Everything else under the spectrum, but a democrat is fucking rare. Less of us are using social media like twitter and the like than people think honestly. For a simple reason really: We want to keep our jobs. We saw people get canceled. Easiest way not to get canceled is not to be a part of the rat race.

As for the millennial question: never have i met a more emotionally unstable generation. These people are hitting their 40's and still do therapy sessions. Like, LMAO.
