I still remember the Dems crying about “the rushed Trump vaccine”, there’s an alternate time line were Trump wasn’t cheated out of the election, this thread thinks anyone without twenty booster vaccines is a commie fag, and the Democrats want scientists burnt as witches.

While that's a funny thought, and may actually have been a partial outcome, I actually wonder what the outlook on COVID would have been had Trump been elected. I think people who were against the vaccines would have ended up similar in number had Trump decided to use similar tactics to force people to get them, but if he just let them be, I don't think anybody would have cared nearly as much. COVID was fucking weird, vaccines might have ended up in a similar situation to the opinions on wearing masks, I remember the right were the ones who cared about masking when the videos from China were coming out, while Democrats promoted parades and shit, only for there to be a polar shift on the issue overnight. Maybe something similar would have happened with the vaccines? I know there was already a sizeable portion of the right who were mistrustful of the potential vaccines before they even were available.
I DO think that on a federal level, the shutdowns and the masking would not have lasted nearly as long - red states were keen on mitigating the economic damage by the summer of 2020, while blue states were forcing mask policies and social distancing all the way into 2022. I've thought about all of this a lot, it cannot be underscored enough how truly disastrous Democrat COVID policy was, and I don't think it particularly helped death rates at all. Sure as hell screwed up a lot of kids though.

I'm fairly certain Franklin went to Europe half for diplomacy and half for degeneracy. Later on, Andrew Jackson liked to duel and continues to do so as president. Polk wanted us to seize like half of Mexico because it was our God given right as white Americans.

Their fixation on him being a felon also underscores just how little they believe their own bullshit about black criminals being gud bois who just got done wrong.

think it’s because while I’ve been the victim for the majority of my life, I’ve never mentally treated myself like the victim. I’ve always tried to do better in life and accepted the reality of the situation rather than blame society or other people, and because I was so often mistreated, I’ve never felt compelled to compromise on my ideals or beliefs for any person or any reason, I’d rather be ridiculed than be cool,

I’m glad you managed to get out and get a better life. Interesting to think that if you have the strength to do it then the negative example is as strong as the positive. You are rare.

Obama-era nostalgia isn't that persuasive since that's when BLM as we know it was born, the Arab Spring, and the Great Recession. Biden admin's mistakes are really just the dumber, louder, messier version of Obama failures, so a campaign built around returning to 2012 isn't all that appealing to anyone, especially when Trump's campaign is about returning to 1991.
