Not if you worked in tech. The bubble bursting in 2000 after the 90's internet boom took well into the 2010's to begin to recover. So many companies went under that engineers and programmers were taking entry-level support jobs just to have a job. People entering the field were competing with degreed professionals with 10ys experience foe Help Desk gigs.
agree on most but disagree on this point. the recession was still affecting the economy up till 2012 and later.
average people could barely find jobs or had employment in low level entry positions.
people didn't have money so they couldn't setup themselves for basic life like housing let alone building a business.

I know I glossed over the bumpy road there (incoming 2% gloss removal). A lot of smaller opportunities came up for the individual that could get ahead of the curve, but the economy was fucked for general non-government/HR/journoscum jobs. Clinton, Bush, and Obama shipped everything out of the country that they could, which made things very difficult. My general point is that one could have taken action and improved their situation so long as they weren’t the last one to pick up on things. There were paths out of the hole, but almost all of them were individual paths. This is part of the reason Trump got elected, he promised to bring back the YUGE blocks of jobs anyone could sign up for.

That NAFTA bullshit tho.

Day Before NAFTA Went Live: No, you guys totally won't lose your jobs. The plant will still be on operation. Nothing to worry about.
Morning NAFTA Went Live: If you attempt to enter plant grounds you will be shot. Oh, and no final paychecks or unemployment will be paid out.

Trump is apparently up in New Jersey and New Hampshire right now, too.

I don't think that Trump is going to win all of the swing states plus flip some blue states in the process, but I do think that he has far more paths to victory than the Democrats do.
I'm wary of polls.
I remember that last few cycles showed the GOP winning by wide margins and then those margins not happening. It's happened too many times now.

I don't want to denigrate religious people. But on a political level so many churchmen of prominence have had little to offer this country with their political meddling, and have allowed so many awful people to get into the Republican Party as its leaders and icons; negotiating their support and their silence in exchange for those little morsels of meat like incremental abortion measures, or the parade of gay marriage ban state bills, and their last big disaster brought by the Heritage Foundation: the tranny bathroom bill defeats. They sat there mired in all that shit while Rome burned.
I agree that you need to work within reality to win the game of politics, but I also think that on a deeper level America and "the West" generally can source most of their modern day problems from secularization and a crisis of faith. I feel that Trump's energy and force of personality can keep the American project running for the duration of his term plus for as long as he's willing to remain a Republican kingmaker after he's out of office, but without addressing the moral rot at the core of our civilization we are fundamentally just kicking the can down the road.

Spiritual renewals aren't something that can be proscribed through policy, however, so I'm in no way criticizing Trump for playing the game. Even if we're still doomed, Trump could give us a few precious more years to get our affairs in order.

I'm typically weary of polls as well.

However, I am paying attention to the Democrat party scrambling like a bunch of headless chickens right now. There's clearly panic going on at the DNC.

At the very least objectively speaking, when you have politicians in office calling on your candidate to step aside just a few months before a presidential election it's probably a sign that all is not exactly well.

Look at the real level of unemployment in the US and despair

I don't like this.

Just because a bunch of people cry wolf like retards at every little thing doesn't mean there isn't a wolf.
If you unironically follow Sam Parker then you're a retard. He blames the Israelis for everything. Do some critical thinking and ask what's the benefit to Jews/Israel of a global IT outage on a random Friday? How does an Israeli company that sells the FBI devices that can break open iPhones differ from an American company that sells the Israeli government these devices?

You follow a lot of incel schizo accounts like Sam Parker and Cirnosad, both incel losers who go on about how the Jews are the reason why they can't get women. Is this a good source of information?

Who the fuck is in charge now? Who are the names you could think of being frontrunners in 2028? Newsom? Anyone walking down a street in California will know that's not gonna fucking work. Whitmer? The one that's one afternoon at a VFX house away from being a Sith Lord? Have we ever told you the story of Darth Cunty the resting bitch face?
Seems everyone already knew but us.

Fucking hell.

100 million.

And they wonder why so many people feel fucking hopeless.
"C'mon man! Best economy ever!"

I seriously cannot believe that there's roughly a third of the country who believes this propaganda.

The propaganda immediately gets debunked when you use your eyes and see what's going on around you. You don't even have to do research. The bad economy is right in our faces right now, completely unavoidable.

I'm not buying , at least not the ''CNN was aware, or warned to tune in to that specific rally''
That's WAY too risky, needs 1 well connected person in the know to get everyone involved hanged for treason, if the hit suceeds.

There have been several CIA/FBI releases indicating many people that have been power should be hanged for reason that are still alive. Even Hunter and the family right now..🤷‍♂️

NYC'ers seem to cling on to that term more than any other people. Still a mystery where the etymology comes from. It may have been from WWI when NY and NJ were departure points for the ships for a lot of allied troops and the slang spread around the Army at the time, and when the war ended in 1917, it started to pop up in East Coast lingo. In NYC people use it most often to describe an eviction from a landlord, or booting a hooligan out of a stadium. I would hear it around me in NY but I would never use it, my term is "bounced".

This is true but it is entirely a problem of their own making. They’ve got nobody but themselves to blame for the rise of Reddit atheism, which was a direct backlash against overbearing Christian moral policing. SJWism too, but less directly so. Frankly, the messaging at the time of “do X or you’ll go to Hell as a sinner” is a terrible way to sell your God to skeptical young people who are biologically hard-wired to be rebellious. Hellfire and brimstone is great for keeping the hardcore believers in line but it’s a hard sell for potential converts.

On the other side of the spectrum you’ve got a lot of families where the parents would self-ID as Christian and do believe in God, but only because their parents were Christian with they themselves having little connection to the faith. It is no surprise that parents like this would fail to instill the importance of faith on their children because they too are mostly just going through the motions.

If young people are to have a spiritual revival, it will through asking not what you can do for God, but what God can do for you.

He's campaigning in states he's unlikely to win to force the Biden campaign to spend money in those places shoring them up. Money they don't have. If the Dems are too broke to counter at all then Trump might actually flip one or two.

Everything made sense when a kiwi first posted that statistic waaaaaaay back in this thread
There is no fucking way an entire generation just up and decided to be jobless or you can apply a thousand times and not get so much as a single fucking phone call. There are no jobs. It's already over.
