A hundred million who should /could be working and aren’t? That’s an insane number. So that’s everyone 16 and over to death?
I’m trying to parse this in terms of the percentage of people who are of working age (16-64.) just a quick google says that’s a bit over 208 million. So you’re saying that half the population of working age aren’t working? If there are 208 million working age adults in the USA how many are working? Google is giving me numbers between 130 and 164 million employed. That’s still a very low number, even taking 16-21 years olds in education and housewives into account (I doubt that many can be housewives these days.) 70 million working age adults or a bit over a third of the working age population? Is that right?
As for 2020 up until now, check the pdf for the charts (gray bar shows when the lockdown happened), but all you need to know is that the only demographics that haven't caught back up to their numbers prior to 2020 are: Non-veteran men older than 18, AS/some college degree holders, male veterans, senior citizens, all white men and all men over 20 years old (Edited: missed a couple). No wonder everything's falling apart.
It really does seem to be that way.

It's crazy that people here don't understand how bad some of the Satanic panic bullshit really was. In my town it was a new panic every month over some completely dumb trivial thing whether it was lottery tickets, Harry Potter, Halloween decorations, drinking beer, rock music, videogames, and so on. It turned a whole lot of people off Christianity, even here in the deep red Bible belt. If all church is just hearing some pastor screaming about fictional games being evil then it doesn't have that much to offer.
You know, I'm now wondering which came first. The panic over role-playing games leading to the film Mazes and Monsters. Or the film Mazes and Monsters leading to the panic over role-playing games.

For those who don't know, M&M was a terrible film starring an early Tom Hanks about a guy who plays Not Dungeons and Dragons and loses all touch with reality. It's like that Jack Chick tract but not as funny.

Think Democrats will attempt to message less how skilled Kamala Harris is as a politician and more how evil and bad Donald Trump is. There was stuff like this back in the 2020 election so it's not exactly some new tactic they'd be using the first time.
That and it only worked last time because they used the pandemic to change the rules

Moment of clarity? Either that or the doctors have told and convinced him that he's not going to be alive or have any mental faculties for much longer due to Parkinson's or whatever the hell he has. He's been declining rapidly and the added stress is probably not helping. I think there's even at least a 10% chance that he doesn't make it until the end of his term, either because he dies or it becomes completely obvious that he's completely mush brained and incapable of acting as POTUS.
The Dems won't allow that to be revealed. He may spend the last couple months of his term in hospice with staffers running everything while the media covers it up, but they won't formally remove him because it would nuke voter confidence in Kamala or whoever else they line up to run.

Apparently some Republicans are arguing or planning to argue that Kamala can't inherit the donations made to the Biden campaign because her + another VP option materially changes the ticket.

Interesting to see if they actually try to fight her getting the donations, though it makes sense to considering they could tie that money up in legal challenges for awhile to give the Democrats even less time to spend it.

I'm betting on the pro-Palenstine protesters causing some ruckus. If a Black guy gets killed by a cop like George Floyd, it's over.
And there's the rub. The Democrats are in a Democrat controlled city. The control cables run straight from Cook County to Washington, DC, with the signals moving exclusively one way. Riots, crime, etc.? Those are permitted except during holy week. The cops in Chicago will be given unfettered permission to move without hesitation against anyone fomenting unrest. There will be no '68 riots, no George Floyd "Mostly Peaceful" protests. The anti-American intifada that has been going on? That'll be snuffed out the minute any green black and red banner is raised and even if those types get something going the press will not report on it.

They have to get Kamala crowned. They have to. So they'll unmask and go full authoritarian for this, I guarantee it.

People saying she'll be easier than Biden I think are wrong and underestimating how many people will vote for her just because she's brown and a woman, plus she has the appeal of being "almost Biden", so people who like Biden but not her will be compelling to vote for her. She was his VP afterall.
You overestimate the power of identity politics. If being a brown woman was all that mattered, she would've actually made it to the 2020 primaries.
Is she easier than Biden? I don't know, but they're on similar levels of unelectable. As soon as Trump debates her for the first time, people are gonna realize why her 2020 run crashed and burned so quickly.

I agree with some other posters, this is a strategic move to justify a rigging. Another landslide election unprecedented for the left. Likely a woman like kamala or Hillary. There will probably be another j6 situation but worse. "Like poetry it rhymes "

The tribulations may begin.

Stay with Christ. Stay strong my friends.
I doubt they’ll try rigging again. Too many eyes are on them. Too many people expect it.

I haven't seen much commentary or polling about how the uncertainty and the conflicting messaging about whether or not Biden will be on the ticket is effecting likely voters. Its literally late July and the Democrats now don't know who their candidate will be. You get multiple news reports saying Biden is out, but his campaign staff insisting he's still in. This is a complete and total clusterfuck and symbolizes the lack of leadership and the country has had for the past 4 years. If Biden's out, it should be done in quick and decisive fashion, not by floating trial balloons via press leaks.

Knowing who your nominee for president is such an essential prerequisite for running a winning campaign, but the Democrats won't know this until late August.
The only thing that offsets this I feel is the "Vote blue no matter who" op the left has been running on their people for a decade+ now. While it probably wasn't meant to be used in the case of a literal brain dead puppet turning into an empty chair, it's probably going to prevent a 45+ state sweep by Trump, sadly.
Also apparently 1/3 of dems wish trump was dead. https://unherd.com/newsroom/third-of-democrats-wish-donald-trump-had-been-killed/

Less then I assumed actually
That's just the 1/3rd willing to admit it. How many of the 2/3rds just know that they shouldn't say it out loud, or have heard about cancelations?

Edit: 30 new pages in almost no time. Did Biden fall down go boom?
