What gets me the most about this situation is who the fuck does Harris even run as a VP? She's cyanide to the very states the Dems must win in the same way Clinton was. That alone limits options to Rust Belt personalities, but again, who wants to torpedo their career for it? Shapiro isn't stupid, Fetterman is too retarded to put up with it, and Beshear's fame is restricted to Kentucky. Could unironically see Buttigieg go for it, however only because he understands his political career is already over thanks to the many - many - fuck ups he's had a Transportation Secretary. And that's before getting into his faggotry that'll make the average union worker turn away in disgust.

The Dems are legitimately screwed with this move and I expect the cooler heads to realize it over the next 48 hours. This year's DNC is going to be lit :story:

My theory is they see it as inevitable, so they're rushing the election drop out first. They can't survive both a removal AND an election dropout. They want a week of election buzz, while it can be a positive thing. So many Dems were demanding a new candidate, this keeps them happy, without the additional scandal of forcing Biden out due to the long-concealed decline.

Once Kamala is established in the narrative as the presumptive nominee, given a few days for everyone to settle with her, then they can safely remove Joe from office on whatever pretext. I don't think they want to, and I think they'll try to stick it out to January; but at least they now have the option to lose Joe without necessarily losing the election.

The rush and sloppiness of today's announcement suggests this was the backup plan if Biden couldn't hang on until January. Somebody spent the weekend evaluating Joe and decided to pull the trigger. I think the speed indicates the timeline for activating the 25th: they think it will be sooner rather than later.

The funny thing is we know for a fact that Biden doesn't run his own twitter account, that honor goes to the negress he has go on tv and very poorly spin shit who I forget the name of (I feel like it was something dumb like Katani Brown???)

For all we know, Biden has no actual access to his twitter account. How did he post it without his staff knowing about it if he doesn't run the Twitter account???

Edit: her name is Karine Jean Pierre, I was thinking of some black lawyer who I think was involved in the trump shit, idk I'm tired

He dropped out because it's going to look really obvious when his enfeebled ass doesn't get anywhere near 81 million votes this time that they cheated the last time.

At least with a new candidate they can try and argue she just wasn't as popular as the old one

Jill is supposed to go to the Olympics in a few days and stay for the whole thing I think. If she cancels then you might be right.
