Both sides seem to desire a dictator at this point. When the platforms of both parties are so skewed, and everyone "knows" the democratic system is a sham that is ultimately controlled by faceless bureaucrats, it's hard not to desire someone to come wipe away what you perceive as corruption and bring sanity back to the country.
