It’s not the price. It’s the ability to get to him.

If he is having a spergout or is being held by mall security, then you can’t have the person who keeps him calm a state or two over.
They would need someone within driving distance (hour at very most) for such situations.

Another thing about her working with Preator is the fact she was there for Chris almost entirely from the beginning when he got out of the assisted living facility. We don't have a full story about how they met other than Chris mentioning that they were first introduced while he was at the facility.
