The future of Gen Z

That they see more in common with online communities than fellow man and thus leave society to pursue online relationship in the pods? I find it noticeable how they dehumanize the normal people in their lives in favor of online strangers.
You sure all zoomzooms do this? or only the online ones? do you talk to any zoomies IRL?

I think what a lot of older people don't quite understand is just how much of the average Gen Z relationship is carried out online versus in person. Even your typical turbo normie zoomer without a Discord account is perfectly content to meet up with his friends once a week at the club/gym and then have the remaining 80% of his interaction occur over voice call while playing Call of Duty. It's quite rare that people have immediate access to their social circle in the way that they (presumably) used to.

The typical complaint is that the decline in metaphorical "third places" -- malls, arcades, bars, etc. -- has forced us to engage in this asocial hermit lifestyle, and there is a grain of merit to this, but IMO it's a cultural issue more than anything. If all of us collectively decided to go and hang out at the mall instead of bitching on the Internet about how nobody wants to hang out at the mall anymore, we could totally bring back malls.

Gen z in my experience just rolls over and accepts the status quo like they're practicing the world's most retarded form of stoicism. The lockdown has totally buckbroken most of us.

Is this the place to mention how I am just now noticing irl gen Z conversations seem to revolve around stuff they watch on Youtube? Like, well into their adulthood.
You can mock gen z for a lot, but not watching TV isn't one of them. I haven't watch TV in years since the vast majority of it now is globohomo propoganda anyway.

I am not saying they should be discussing sitcom TV instead, I am noticing ones I work with can't seem to talk about anything else no matter what the topic is.

Sign of the times, life revolves around a screen, and real life is uneventful, no marriages or real jobs anywhere. Ive talked with my friend circle about deeper philosophical stuff before but I had to push it, otherwise it was always what was trending. That or girls. Everyone then upped and joined the military because their parents were Republicucks and that was that.

The girls aren't much better, between calling all the guys creeps and pedophiles behind their backs, they just did drugs, whored out and went to music festivals, usually at the same time.

I don't think Gen Z have any individualism whatsoever. That might be a bold claim but they are always influenced on the modern thing, whether this is from lack of parental guidance, or being forcibly groomed by someone on discord its a sad situation to watch. Males I feel like are being less masculine by acting like a "goon" or a femboy or some other laughable group. For women, they seem to have a narcissistic personality disorder what @TheNoseKnows said in a way. Pretending to love people only to gold dig other people because of status and wealth rather than love. I have met people in my generation though that were chill and others who thought they where the hottest shit around.

For me being born after the 2000s I rather keep my own individual traits to myself and not let any person or form of media tell me otherwise, just non conform. You can tell a person by the way they act if they base their life on the modern thing and not have morals, traditions, or values for man. We look for an enemy and we create one with other people and ourselves instead of solving problems. That's what's wrong with my generation.

I find that people from my generation have trouble landing a real fucking job that isn't flipping burgers or being a cashier. The education system sucks, the internet sucks (if I had a kid I dunno what I'd do but I certainly would NOT let them access the internet) and people we're supposed to look up to like Millenials are fucking niggercattle bastards.

Every mall I've been to banned under 18s from being there without adults on evenings and weekends.
Arcades were replaced with video games at home.
Teen employments has been dropping for 20 years so less of them can afford to go anywhere.
Other 3rd places like your local polish community center or church revolve around ethnic or religious identity young people do not have.

If people do not grow up with these places, they'll just become accustomed to their non-existance.

It's crazy how every teenager I see these days seem to be wearing the exact same clothes in the exact same colours as a unit, though I don't know if if that's a general trend or if it's just because I live in a fairly chavvy area and notice them more than the normal ones.

Most kids tend to doss about in random places around town where I am, at the very least it's nice to see that they go outside.

I think Gen Z is very skewed in appearance. I believe there is a good amount of individualism in the gen, but like you say for yourself below, the individual ones keep to themselves.

I don’t think Gen Z has been given a fair hand in being able to express individual traits, especially not since 2016. The other gens had their rebellious phases, but Z is in no economic position to ever go out-of-bounds, nor are they in a socially good position given how social media, even if not used by the individual, works as a permanent marker.

If you want even a shot of a good career that isn’t miraculously creating your own, you got to go through college. Colleges crack down a lot more on dissidents now. Teachers are highly left-leaning and will deride students (and their ability to pass) based on conformity to their ideals. You learn quick it is best to just take the shit and stop talking in these classes. This also applies to the students as the usual types are given more special privileges to run wild. If you aren’t already a popular person, going against the grain can get you screwed socially.

Work, same thing. Most are lucky to have a job past flipping burgers. No one is going to stand up when it is going to screw their ability to advance or even have a career.

Individuality is going to be mostly relegated to online spaces or small friend groups where being honest won’t get you killed. Otherwise, many of the ones that do, likely are not in the public that much.

Same. Had gang activity hit one of our local malls, now no one under 18 can be there without an adult.

The main thing beyond university is they're expected to work while attending, less chance for freedom or skill development. Younger Millennials and Gen Z were raised to appease older people with Cluster B personality disorders, it seems like a generational trauma. You can overcome it if you're pretty or rich enough.
