I took OPSEC and online anonymity seriously back in 2017, when someone sent me a Navy Seal copypasta for defending Sonic Boom.
In 2019, when I wanted to join 2b2t, but someone warned me to separate my personal emails, identity, social media, immediately before joining 2b2t because someone is getting stalked in real-life over base griefing and leaked coordinates.
I always remind my self the phrase "Prevention is better than cure" and "Don't forget: You're here forever", more importantly "think before your click".
Then I watched a fuckload of YouTube tutorials on how to dissappear online without making a trace and a couple of documentaries about hackers and criminals getting caught. So I can sleep soundly at night after calling someone a nigger.
I recommend reading Kevin Mitnick's book, "The Art of Invisibility" for opsec advice. Also I recommend reading Kevin Mitcnick's "The Art of Deception" to resist social engineering, otherwise you'll end up being retarded as @InkDemonStephen getting rizzed by @Sprate Header about kiwifarms cyber defense tools.

I just now thumbed through this book and for a complete normie on opsec it does the job. However if you're a bit more technically inclined and driven, I recommend Extreme Privacy by Michael Bazzell.

This quoted post even has a screenshot showing the name Sheldon was also associated on this account:
