I always knew something was a little off with Mr. Beast considering his entire backstory is "I studied how to make the perfect video to appeal to the YouTube algorithm".
This isn't some rags to riches story, man methodically planned every single step of his career to get to the spot where he is. Admirable but not really "connecting" on a human level. Feels cold and very much calculated.

What he actually did was just shill himself to literally everybody in comments, twitter, videos, etc. He mostly trend hopped until he didn't need to. I have witnessed this all from when he had 10k subs to now. If you look under some of the more popular channels back in 2016 and look through their comments you can see him say "plz sub to me" under all of them.

I've been suspicious of MrBeast since the day I discovered him. It would not surprise me in the least if he turned out to be a very well connected nonce. Ever noticed how he just seemed to come out of nowhere, and it's not really clear how he even became wealthy in the first place? I asked right here on the farms ages ago, and someone told me that apparently he got really lucky with Bitcoin early on, but that's not really a satisfying explanation. Especially since he's only 26 right now. So he was able to buy up a whole bunch of it even as a young teenager, and had the sense to hang onto it the whole time? Really?

Here's me talking about him in 2020:

Everything I know about Mr. Beast:
-he does endurance videos where he sits there for hours doing nothing but counting out loud to a million or whatever
-is rich and likes to record himself donating like ten grand to random thots on twitch for reactions
-makes damn sure everyone knows exactly how philanthropic he is

He's like a video game character being played by someone who figured out how to cheese the fuck out of life and get as much money and fame as possible with the bare minimum amount of talent. Like someone trying to beat Fallout 2 at level 1 with just 1 intelligence.

But hasn't he made appearances on mainstream talk shows and stuff? I dunno. He doesn't seem like an organic YouTuber, he feels like someone's plant. I think the first place I ever heard of him was in a news article about him donating a gorillion dollars to someone, which is never a good sign for someone like me that lives online.

Its been four and a half years, and EVERYTHING about this guy makes my skin crawl. He's so heavily guarded and protected. The beginning of the video was bizarre, but other than that I thought it was much better than I anticipated. Even people who know of Mr. Beast, like myself, kind of knew that he was basically a lottery for children, but having all the examples lined up in a well edited and scripted video really showed the sheer scope of it. Having literal casino imagery with the Chocolate bar giveaways is indefensible, it is obvious he knew what worked and didn't care it was targeted at children.
