That's somewhat unfair to actual casinos. At least there, any reasonable person understands the score and things are relatively fair until Eddie decides to flip the switch. I'm genuinely blown away that Mr. Beast is using the same tactics as shitty little WhatNot streamers trying to scam people buying pokemon cards. Dude made an empire from stealing the allowances of little kids.

There's a veneer of fakeness to a lot of his behavior. You can tell he's trying at posing with the exaggerated smiles and it comes across as weird since with youtubers the usual appeal is they come across as approachable.

It's similar to what you'd find with a lot of celebrities or game show hosts, but having it done on youtube and not by some big name studio seems to bother a lot of people who find it alien. So people think they're seeing through him or having some sort of epiphany by realizing that he's hosting a show, while more sane people realize that's what most of youtube is.

The fact he's as professional about his whole production as he is makes for a lot of opportunities for midwits to have this epiphany, as they're just not used to people on youtube putting that much effort into their projects.

I remember seeing this and feeling like it was so uncomfortable. As a certain Ian would have liked to say, Mr. Beast is usually the puppet master in this situation, so things got tense when he no longer was.

The aggressive throwing whenever he doesn't get a 10/10 would make me want to leave that room. So weird.
