That's my point. This thread has people who are on average more educated and yet fall for dumb foreign relations memes that have have no basis in reality. If even the educated believe in that's easily Googleable in favor of /pol/ memes then that's a bit concerning.

This is another great example, strawmanning when the concern is Iran's imperialism in the MENA. Iran has used militias like Hezbollah and the Houthis to destabilize Lebanon/Yemen. They have also infiltrated the government of Iraq as shown by the Iran files. Iranian imperialism has already affected the world with the Houthis being given advanced weapons to block off the Suez.

The question of should the US be involved in this is another question entirely but the threat is real.
