Brianna Wu / John Walker Flynt - "Biggest Victim of Gamergate," Failed Game Developer, Failed Congressional Candidate

Katherine Clark represents the 5th Congressional District of Massachusetts, having won the district in a 2013 special election against Republican Frank Addivinola after prior representative Ed Markey ran for senate. On cursory glance I was unable to find any baggage on Addivinola, and for him to seize 32% of the vote seems unusual for a Republican candidate with no political background and no resources running against an established politician, especially for New England.
She also was uncontested in the 2016 election. I'm no political scientist, but it strikes me as a squandered opportunity on the part of Republicans considering her close ties with Brianna Wu and the Crash Override gang. I know, Massachusetts, but how incompetent do you have to be to go mention economic with someone who has burned more liquid assets than many Americans will earn in their lifetimes?

"Today I met with man muscles and she told me how she's really scared of online threats."

This whole House run idea is ridiculous, even by Wu standards. The town she lives in (Arlington, MA) is represented by Katherine Clark, one of the most SJW members of Congress and someone who has actually met with and catered to Wu, Quinn, Quinn's manlet boytoy and so on.

Pretty sure if Wu challenged Katherine Clark, Clark could run on the "at least I'm not Brianna Wu" platform.

It's unlikely that John even knows which district he is in or who his current representative is, or her anything about her voting record.

I bet John has actually physically been in her office in Cambridge. He's the kind of douche who would go there to lobby personally for some bullshit.

Pffft. Wu is talking out of her ass even more than usual. There's no way she'd ever run for any type of office. It would never even get to the point where her opponents had to start bringing up that she is an insane, lying, bandwagon following harpy. It wouldn't even be the weens that put a stop to any chance she'd have. Randi Harper would lead an uprising of SJWs to put a halt to Wu before she could add more bad press to their "side"
so you are, in a roundabout way, saying that supporting this idea is actually great for us as a community based around watching stupid shit unfold?

Sounds marvelous.

Wu running for office is potentially much more amusing than Trump winning the presidency. While Wu flails and lashes against everything and everyone, blaming her lack of support on Gamergate and imaginary sexists, her opponent just looks at the audience in disbelief like one of those old sitcoms.

This has potential and I honestly hope it happens (Sorry to any Americans caught in the shitstorm)

Oh, she was the one who denounced the Stolen computer game (at the behest of ZQ? at least in concert with ZQ)

But then what's this? ZQ became a paid consultant to that game

No nepotism here.

wow, the ratkingery just grows and grows

Rep. Clark denounced Stolen less than 24 hours after ZQ did. ZQ then reaches out to the publisher and, for some reason, they decide to shell out for someone who has made zero profitable games and has never published a mobile app.

Apparently Zoe's consulting was kind of shit, because Famous, the successor to Stolen, was also taken down by Apple.

Brianna, or at least Frank must be well aware that there's no chance of Wu being elected to any office. This is all just lead up to her next patreon scam for political donations.

Well gee I wonder who's responsible for that

"Wii U is one of the greatest consoles of all time, which is why I'm listing it as number 3" Can't you do ANYTHING right?

Oh dear John, it seems as if even your army of Socjus drones don't like the idea of paying you money for making video games when:

1. You have abandoned supporting R60 post abortion of a release and no one is playing it or pretending it was remotely successful anyway
2. You have no future plans to make games
3. You're now talking about running for political office, which is amazingly actually the second career change in two months since your magnum opus was revealed to be an absolute abomination.

Running for office requires probably the thickest skin of any vocation. That you can maintain a harassment narrative while simultaneously wading into the lions den is quite amazing to behold.

Probably been said before but "Broken" as the trailer for a game that will never be fixed with a patch to make it playable is just beautiful.

So they are talking about growing a pitybux victim economy?

In 5 years, maybe we'll find out it's Patreon pushing this whole thing for their cut. It's like the Nordstrom family, they made their money in the goldrush. Not by prospecting for gold mind you, but from selling people equipment to go gold digging

Probably been said before but "Broken" as the trailer for a game that will never be fixed with a patch to make it playable is just beautiful.

damn, B-dog really isn't supporting the game? or is it a semi-interactive art-narrative experience.
Same kind of person who hangs a blank canvas in art class and tries to play it off as oh so conceptual

Never knew that about Nordstrom, though I'd heard something about Levi Strauss along those lines. Anyway, the difference there being that both Nordstrom and Levi's provided something tangible of value that people could use, dunno maybe 98% of the time. Probably insanely marked up given how things were for the '49ers, but still something.

OTOH, Still can't think of Patreon as anything other than Hipster Welfare, an overflowing toilet where privileged douches go to whine about how they need moar money for the latest Apple product so they can more efficiently create their unreadable web comic. I know it isn't completely that, but the exceptions strike me as very few and very far between.

Fuck me, Wu's Patreon looks to be about half of what it was the last time I looked. Could there possibly be hope for humanity yet?

I think there was one month (December 2014, maybe? Somewhere around the apex of GamerGate) where it topped 15k, due to some thirsty beta making a one time 10 k donation. I'm also pretty sure it was in the 5k range for a long, long time, dropping slowly.

I think it was @Jaimas or @AnOminous who noted that Wu gets into a habit of making a big sperg out on Twitter which results in some of her patrons withdrawing their support over time. It has also been theorized that a chunk of that money comes from the Wu household itself, as well as SJWs reciprocating asspats, to prop up the Patreon and possibly hook people into bandwagoning along, so there's gonna be an equilibrium point somewhere down the road. I'm legit curious how much cash of Frank's cash Bri-bri is wasting to look relevant (and this is aside from all the pay-to-speak events Bri-bri goes to).

I'd be lying if I said I take no enjoyment from seeing that amount drop, though. Said money can be used to actually help other people in need, instead of perpetuating Wu's power fantasies.
