The older I get, the more I become a critic of anime and weebshit. Especially the stunted growth. I've met grown men that have the mind of teenagers because they can't grow up. And live like them. Its such a fucking dismal state. And yes I hate the lingo. It's like 110 years behind but "we" still act like its cool. If i hear the word "banger" one more time, i will kill myself.

Well their cartoons have come to life. I've heard the comparison, but it bears repeating: It's like the Muppets. They're real, in the studio with real people, just remove the studio and put them on a phone. And they do "collaborations" with other Muppets. Characters. It's like a play in a way. They tune in daily and get to see their favorite character, just now they get to make her do things if they throw cash at her. The Vtuber phenomenon engages many clapping monkeys in the brain. It's like taking meth and heroin at once.
Current day weebs do seem different to me, Toonami was when I discovered Anime, I dont recall much fuss about it except 1 weird kid who was SUPER into Evangelion, he had dating sims and shit and that was weird enough for me. To his credit though nothing jumped out at me as being weird for a male to be watching, these current weebs are in their mid to late 30s and watching little anime girls go to high school and make fwends etc. Its fucking weird even for their standards, something changed at some point from what I can tell.

For a long time now music records (as well as Idol companies) have been toying with reviving dead musicians by having holograms of them do performances, I wouldn't be surprised if a medium so technologically dependant as the VTubing scene would have such things in a smaller scale. Like having a command that makes the avatar laugh, cry, scream, read the superchats, etc, just by clicking a button. A lot of money goes into rigging a VTuber model, and it would make a lot of sense to do this just to save time.
