Shaprio won PA pretty much solely via mail-in voting fraud and various police fraternal organizations coming out against his opponent because he made a comment about how some PA employees - specifically one long-retired, highly over-paid judge - should be taxed [at the state level] on their excessive state pensions.
Allegedly, this single retired official was the highest-paid state employee ever.
This was touted as "coming for cop's benefits" in much the same way the democraps like to target seniors with the threat that the repukes are "coming for your social security and medicare" [conveniently never telling the same seniors about how the democraps are always attempting to go after their pensions, 401(k)s, defined benefit plans, etc].

Democracy's quality is, more than any other form of government, a direct result of the quality of the people who make up its electorate. There is no getting around this. The limited democratic forms of early America more or less worked because early America was a demos composed mostly of educated Christian landowners. Democracy needs people who largely shared a moral vision, are economically independent, and are intelligent enough to seek involvement in the running of things. Democracy does not work with peasants, garbage-in-garbage-out.
Mass democracy in the modern United States, a giant country full of different ethnic/racial factions and incompatible moral visions all competing for power, is a doomed project from the get-go.

The East Palestine derailment, Long Beach having to go dark because literal train robbery came back in vogue, and the constant shortage of airline pilots canceling flights b/c he forced all the old white men to retire will be brought up constantly if he ever guns for an elected position again.

Watched a mixture of Fox and CNN this morning. It's funny to watch the spin. CNN doesn't even refer to the attempted assassination of Donald Trump as an assassination attempt anymore. They call it "The Attack in Butler, Pennsylvania" now. CNN also isn't reporting on the defacing of landmarks in DC yesterday. Seems they're continuing their balancing act of bending the knee to Israel while not acknowledging the crimes of the Free Palestine movement.
