Yeah, I remember the Biden/Trump debate a few weeks ago, too. I remember everyone saying they would try their hardest to make Trump look bad and it backfired harder than Ballistic High-Speed's RPG-7. That debate single-handedly ground the Biden Bandwagon to a halt and exposed normie America to the fact that their current leader is a fucking vegetable.

Possible set up to force Biden out. If not, if you're expecting that kind of treatment again, well, I commend you for your optimism.

Plausible deniability because the whole point of having an unusually early debate before the DNC convention was to expose Biden's dementia so he could be replaced. It was a balancing act of trying to tone down how much of a win it could have been for Trump if he had a crowd. Versus not exposing how far gone Biden truly is.

In that instance CNN was clearly making their own power play to fuck over Biden. They weren’t being fair in the name of journalistic integrity, they had an ulterior motive to humiliate Biden on the national stage. Do not expect the same treatment in future debates.

If that was a case, they wouldn't be scrambling for a replacement this badly before settling for the cackling bitch Kamala. Not to mention that Kamala now has to answer the dual questions of "Why did you allow a mentally declining octogenarian run the county for multiple years?" and "If you're so ready to lead the country, why hasn't Biden resigned from his position of POTUS after dropping out of the race?" And if they wanted to replace Biden, the time to do so was months ago considering they now have to deal with refunding millions in campaign donations for Biden as well as handing over multiple battleground states directly uncontested to Trump.

Here's a fun fact. Drag Race episodes are recorded one year in advance for production time and editing. I think they were just spooked by the NYT poll that had Trump up in most battleground states and legitimately thought they could juice up Joe for an average debate performance and let the media carry water for him. I honestly don’t think they were expecting it to go nearly as bad as it did.

The debate was an attempt to dunk on Trump. With the conditions for it(no audience, etc) they expected Trump to whine and pull out. When he didn't, CNN got a close look at how bad Joe was and went, 'we can't carry water for this guy.'

If the let Kamala debate him, the mass demoralization that will occur will break a lot of people. She couldn't hold her own against a Jeb-grade candidate. Trump is master shit-talker and showman.
