I'd say it's not a clear case of fair use, commentary portion of the post is rather minimal. If he files a valid complain (and he'll figure it out at some point, just like Melinda Scott - another retard - figured out default judgement) it'll have to be taken down because the forum is US legal.

So if I'm reading this right, Jones is compelled to cause problems for KF, and a successful intervention in this case frees him from this, and means less ongoing legal expenses (assuming these DMCAs can't just be thrown in the trash). It's an upfront investment to lower operating costs, if it succeeds.

While I do not like Stabbings, I think that the purpose of the war chest is to ensure that the site can survive legal threats that are thrown at it and deter future troon lawfare. Jones might be a great guy who doesn't deserve to have his wallet raped by Stabbings, but his welfare has no impact on the survival of the site. Yeah, that's a cold way of looking at things, but it is what it is.

A lot more people should be looking at this case. I can’t believe the defendant agreed to this. Publicize it for now, & at the current moment, refrain from joining. It’d be interesting to know why the defendant decided to go ahead & be a slave to this litigious jackass in particular? I'm not particularly trying to nitpick the wording, but that settlement order says that Jarrod has to send A (singular) takedown notice on behalf of Stabbins. And so long as it isn't reposted, such as in another post in a thread, he wouldn't need to do any further requests. The order does not say anything from what I read about continued attempts until the takedown request is complied with. Basically, he already did his duty on that front by submitting a request.

This is the sort of sovcit/vexatious litigant word magic someone like Stabbins would employ, and IANAL, but beyond that once he pays him he's supposed to be released via dismissal with prejudice. I don't see how this really impacts the farms.
