They might not be cover level but they are still growing because they have access to large stream events https://twitchtracker.com/ironmouse/streams and the only other vtuber that comes close in size of viewers to her is Filian. https://twitchtracker.com/filian/streams Has there been any considerable growth in viewers lately for hololive? It feels like they have reached stagnation to me. How big is the gap to be cover level size, because unlike cover the streaming platform Vshojo is in at least sucks their dick and youtube does not do the same for hololive, idol corps or phase connect.
Hololive has had nothing but positive reception to their newer JP and EN gens ever since HoloX, which is impressive
Advent had the explosive growth of Fuwamoco and Justice is still going strong with some of them still having 10k CCV a month after debut, Advent's 3d is also soon, they arent stagnating at all imo, neither is Phase, Idol is probably the one that seemed to have gotten some of its momentum cut after a bit

Everything cover does grows larger every year, merch sales, events, collabs.

If you think that's stagnation than you might just be retarded.

I also can't imagine VShojo collaborating with a massive baseball stadium.
VShojo will never do anything of note, because their entire business model revolves around picking up already-successful vtubers and giving said vtubers "talent freedom" so the company themselves do not have to actually do anything.

There's a good reason people say Vshojo's a vtuber retirement home...

Broke: "Uwuuuuuu chat I said something lewd haha, it totally wasn't intentional tee hee" *titty jiggle*
Woke: Kirsche snoring like a pug getting sucked into an air vent while Nym speedruns Dragon's Dogma on her stream

I laughed so hard when she mentioned the AC repair guy came into her place while she was asleep to fix hers, he probably thought he was about to face off against the Balrog if she was snoring as loud as she did during those streams.

You don't think the Yankees would appreciate Zentroonya jiggling his ass and tits at them?

That's one of the reasons I got such a good laugh from them opening "auditions" again and Zen, Geega, and Matara getting mad on twitter.

Yes, we know you guys are going to just bring in some ex-Niji or some orbiter like Snuffy, just don't get so ass mad about the jokes.

Losing 3 talents will do that, especially when 2 of them are from the same gen (technically 3 if you Riro as a sort of Irys/Promise situation considering how close she debuted next to Gen 1.)
Imagine if HoloEN lost Irys, Sana, and Fauna when it was just Myth and Promise.

The thing that's baffling is that in talent casting there really isn't anything wrong with taking on someone who's already popular who's fit for the role, but for some reason the existing streamers feel the need to defend their company's hiring process because a bunch of Twitterfags whine about it.

The reality of the situation is the people who're complaining the loudest are probably boring 2views who have nothing to offer the company, while the big names who get picked have demonstrable networking and marketing skills on top of their streaming experience. I don't even fucking like VShojo, I much prefer Holo/Phase etc.'s approach of debuting new characters and nurturing their growth with a company culture that complements their content, but it's obvious that the coping and seething is a product of the participation trophy generation now being part of the workforce.

Man, Axel has like the worst luck with women from stalkers to schizophrenic individuals that make him want to kill himself.

No wonder he looks like hiro mashima irl lol

I find it way too hilarious that Azehara got faildoxxed in the Pippa thread and this was how he responded to it. Even actually going private for a few hours (I'm pretty certain going private was part of the shitpost).

Great things coming out of the pippa thread already. I see they're way on track to documenting her and not devolving faster than Rekieta gets into a glass of alcohol or snorts a line of coke.

It's my favorite lolcow thread and not for the quality research, or the startling revelations
It's amusing watching them very slowly uncover things that were already documented and discussed in great detail in this thread two years ago. It's like a cable rerun channel, where they play the episodes out of order so nothing makes sense.

But why do they? Even kids too young to play the game do the dance now
It's just a fad, sort of like Beyblade. The reason it stuck around is because it's a fad with a couple extra layers. As long as it (fortnite dances) keeps the kids healthy and moving around and keeps them away from groomers and the like then I don't have any problems with it.

I've been exposed to more vtuber clips in the last week than I'd ever want to see, and I have a question

Why is the face rigging so bad? Their mouths barely move, the puppets just kind of lean left and right, the head doesn't seem to turn, and the eyes constantly flitter like they're having a stroke. Doesn't that take you out?
I agree it'd be better with more sophisticated face rigging (I guess the technology isn't quite there yet, especially for vtubers that aren't associated with big agencies like Hololive). On the other hand, vtubers are not really meant to be realistic, they play up their personalities according to the character they play (to an extent), so instead of more nuanced human facial expressions, they generally just have to be goofy/cute enough.

I wish they could track their expressions and switch based on that, instead of the streamer having to manually switch between happy/angry/sad/whatever face.
