According to Wikipedo, Philosophy of a Knife (which shows up in Elliot's search history) is a horror movie containing graphic reenactments of the experiments performed at the Japanese Unit 731 concentration camp. Based on that, I'd say you're spot on.

He's basically the progenitor. I was still posting on /r9k/ back then, it wasn't neither femboy central nor incel HQ yet (at least not completely) and people had a blast clowning on Elliot over the manifesto. I witnessed the shift from "Look at this retard calling himself Supreme Gentleman" to "Elliot was right all along".

Edit: Fuck's sake, just checked the dates, Isla Vista shooting happened in 2014, /r9k/ was already worthless as a board back then. Mind is playing tricks on me.
