Well it seems like the FNAF Community has gotten into drama again.

So Funko lost some the rights the make fnaf merch and the rights is given to Jaywares. Which the community is not happy about this at all, and is trying email Scott Cawthon to remove Jaywarez rights to make FNAF Merch.

The old days were definitely more fun, when you and your friends could sit around the lunch table and discuss theories and the teaser images on ScottGames as they dropped. That is about to be ten years ago. Jesus Christ.

I used to think FNAF was fun until when Sister Location came out and I just didn't cared about it and moved on with life. Then around 2021 or 2022 I've seen the community and used to like Phisnom's work until the drama happened and I just moved on with my life and that was that.

I think the reason why people like these games was because it was simpler time back when you were young. I tried playing the fan games but I just get bored and couldn't finish them. I've never played any new official fnaf game in a long time.

The new games aren't great, but like you said, they're from back when it was simpler times. I can agree it fell off around Sister Location, though a younger me would have disagreed, I see it now as when the story jumped the shark.

the story should have stayed a story about hauntings and angry spirits, not the whole Remnant sci-fi shit it went with. And don't even get me started on The Mimic.

Phisnom, though, actually seemed to handle the drama well after he came to his senses after his little shit fit, which doesn't erase it but he has objectively handled it better than others in that situation have.

His streams are still okay, though that's coming from a sperg who only stops in for resident evil/one of his VTuber buddies collabing (not specifying) these days. They have definitely gotten... more tame since everything happened, which does make them kind of boring.

This thread is only abt 8-9 years too late. Good start to it, been lurking in the fnaf fandom ever since it came out and have watched it catch fire numerous times.

The FNAF in real time situation is retarded. They released it, turns out you can't actually beat the game because power is used up too quickly even w/o touching cams or doors. Ends up with the creators being harassed and allegedly sent gore

I remember the 8chan /v/ threads in the run up to FNAF World. There was real excitement about how Scott would translate his success with The Desolate Hope into it.

All of the retarded drama and shit have come to pass and any new drama if there will be any should just be cataloged in that thread instead.
Making a Fnaf CW is like making a Friday Night Funkin CW. Both have had big, retarded dramas in the past, but making it now just seems pointless when it seems like it died down and any new ones should be in the Games thread. I don't see this leaving PG anytime soon unless it's a milk farm 24/7.

I've never been in the fandom but I have been aware of the game's existence since its very start in 2014, back when I first heard of it in middle school. I've seen the weird SFM animations, the "spooky scary analog horror vhs overlay filter" videos (though those are more recent than anything), the fan videos/games, the "Not Scary" series, the fan songs by TryHardNinja and DAGames, the "top 10" theories, that Smike guy, almost pretty much everything. And yes, let us not forget the depravities, too. I can't believe the franchise's so strong almost ten years now. I practically grew up with FNAF despite not being an autistic fan of it. I just simply liked it but never did I play it or really went deep into it. It was just a game I never touched with fan things that I really liked looking at back then.

I should've expected the fanbase to be filled with the LGBT crowd. I'll never get over how these people treated Scott Cawthon. A man who literally done no wrong got treaded away cause how dare he be a conservative Christian, as one user said here. I feel there's a lot to uncover in the fandom and its people.

Don't know if this thread will last or not but, if there's something I learned from the Caden thread again, that one should never underestimate a thread's activity - at least, not all the time. So for now, I'm staying optimistic in hearing something new and major in that dumpster fire of a community.
