Once, long ago, I was waiting for a train, and someone yelled "don't do it" at me. I'm not sure what they saw in me then - I wasn't even thinking about "trespassing" at that moment. But I've been regularly thinking about ending myself for most of my life. Two people I cared about did it last year. My flat is high enough up that tipping myself over the balcony would definitely work. I'm not really sure what stops me, but whatever it is, it's strong.

Most people seem to have no idea how bad my depression is, especially in online spaces like this where I present a curated persona. Medication just dulls the pain a bit. Therapy doesn't seem to help. Ketamine infusions seemed to improve things a bit until one nearly killed me. Maybe I deserve to suffer. Yet I endure. When the void calls, my response is "fuck off into the sun".
