2020 was fucked in so many ways but it was unprecedented and rigging was in place. Trump suffered from voters who felt exhausted by Trump 24/7 and obviously as a result he lost.
More than anything Biden was running as the "back to normal" candidate. The news was screaming every day about the evils of Trump, Covid turned the country upside down and BLM lit it on fire. The implicit offer was "vote Joe in and all of this stops." Instead everything's just getting worse and "normal life" feels like a forgotten dream now. The Trump years are now the normal people yearn to go back to. It remains to be seen if that can overcome the fraud machine though.

You guys make things way more complicated than it actually is.

The first party to run a handsome and young-ish male candidate will get the lion's share of the female vote. It's literally that easy. If Henry Cavill ran for president he'd get 80& of the female vote.
You may have a point. My fairly based sister voted for Mitt Romney in the 2008 primary because ‘He looks like a president’. I voted for Ron Paul.

Nothing the Republicans have done since 2020 can stop WI, MI, AZ, and PA election officials from just flat-out breaking the law like they did last time. When they kick poll watchers out and start bringing in bags and bags of fake ballots to overcome whatever deficit there is, what are Republicans going to actually do?

Republicans should just do the strategy done for the 2021 Virginia election and not call their counties until blue counties are doing counting.

Didn't they justify kicking them out because of COVID or some shit?

Eventually yeah. Initially they just claimed COVID meant they weren't allowed to do their job -- had to stay 10 feet away from any people casting votes, can't examine anything, can't object to any ballots, can't recount things, etc. It was blatantly illegal but the GOP didn't do shit to lawfare it. (The GOPe probably had the fix in by then.)

Some people here don’t realize that if the Trump campaign made ads explicitly appealing to white men, white women, or white people generally, the MSM would be flourished with articles calling Trump a racist white supremacist, some of the independents would be scared off, and libs would be whining about it like there’s no tomorrow. Besides, such a thing is unnecessary as white people are already Trump’s base. Of course, you do need to throw a few bones to the base, but those bones (Trump’s anti-illegal stance, the Biden debate, the failed assassination attempt, among other things) have already been thrown, so now the Trump campaign is focused on appealing to independents. The Democrats aren’t appealing to huwite people because they’ve returned to their pre-60s stance on race, they’re appealing to them in a desperate attempt to court independents and say to huwites “Hey, remember when you elected King Nigger in order to solve Racism™? Now we need to elect a black queen in order to stop Fascism and prevent Mango Mussolini from instituting the 1000 year Trumpreich and gassing the kikes!”.

If that was a case, they wouldn't be scrambling for a replacement this badly before settling for the cackling bitch Kamala. Not to mention that Kamala now has to answer the dual questions of "Why did you allow a mentally declining octogenarian run the county for multiple years?" and "If you're so ready to lead the country, why hasn't Biden resigned from his position of POTUS after dropping out of the race?" And if they wanted to replace Biden, the time to do so was months ago considering they now have to deal with refunding millions in campaign donations for Biden as well as handing over multiple battleground states directly uncontested to Trump.

You expect me to believe that all this was planned? Maybe by fucking retards.

You don't need to believe it was planned. Just be aware that people have been saying and thinking for all of Biden's Presidency that he would not run again. It was suggested when he ran last time he wouldn't be the nominee this time. Once he started to suggest he would, people observed that he was incapable. It was always assumed they dumped him.

It was always my personal view and I think if I could be bothered I probably have posts on here saying they'll put in a candidate at the last moment, then propogandise them to a win. You don't have to believe me, but Vivek has been very public about Biden would not be the nominee and it was pretence. You can easily find videos of that.

Yes, maybe there was no plan but it was apparent to many people this was always going to be what happens. They planned an unusual debate before the DNC convention. Why would they do that? What purpose would that debate have had as opposed to the traditional debates other than to get Biden out? I saw people in the media, I think it was Ryan Grimm in the lead up to the debate mentioning that there was talk it was about putting Biden out there. To ease concerns or to make the case he shouldn't run.

So whether or not there was some grand plan. Whatever plenty of people expected and thought was happening. Happened.

Trump had his greatest loss of support in 2020 with white voters, particularly white men.

that report from the article also says that covid was the greatest concern in the polled people and the biggest loss was young voters and 65+ voters. zoomer and boomers were completely freaked out about covid and definitely were a group that voted for Biden as the “go back to normal” candidate

not only is covid a thing anymore, the Biden-Harris administration didn’t make runs go back to normal. it made things worse in every measurable way. i don’t think Trump is going to have the same dip this time

i do agree that the republicans are never going to win over the black vote

also choosing JD Vance is already turning away woman voters with his dunking on cat ladies, but more importantly because he was yet another republican with dumb views on abortion and now there are tons of articles about his restrictive abortion views from just two years ago
