The thing about Charlie is that the only reason he has the least bit of clout or relevance is because of moistcritical. He has a comic book no one gives a shit about, he has a band no one gives a shit about, pretty much the only stuff people care about from him as whatever projects have that "moist critical" branding to them. That's the only thing he has to his name so he won't risk it by giving even mildly disagreeable takes yet somehow sneako tricked him into a deadend, forcing him to pick a side.

Back when CallMeCarson had his fiasco with a 17 year old he was there saying how 18 isn't a magical number, how in some states 16 is legal, but when sneako makes those same arguments he is a pedo apologist? So does that mean you are also a pedo apologist charlie, or did you have a change of heart? Or was it just that people were generally supportive of CallMeCarson and people dislike Sneako?

Charlie's argument in the excerpt is question-begging, i.e., he assumes to be true what he needs to demonstrate to be true. Charlie needs to demonstrate:
  1. that a minor is capable of providing consent for non-reversible medical procedures; and
  2. that the parents of the minor have parental authority that permits them to subject the minor to non-reversible medical procedures based on the minor's subjective reports and an "expert" reading of the minor's subjective reports.
Some branches of medicine, such as psychiatry, diagnose a disorder or illness without any kind of lesion—which would provide objective evidence of disease. Mental illnesses and disorders are diagnosed based on a syndrome of reports of subjective experience. But except for psychiatric brain surgery and permanent extrapyramidal side effects from antipsychotic medications—both of which are rare—none of the treatments of psychiatry are irreversible.

It is for these reasons that Tony Reid's comparison of regret associated with knee surgery with regret from cross-sex hormones and SRS is flawed. The two treatments are incomparable because knee damage can be objectively diagnosed by observing a lesion in the knee—it isn't a subjective experience mediated by an immature brain. The indication for knee surgery is the visible lesion. There is no such indication for cross-sex hormones and SRS for minors.

Adding certainty of suicide seeks to change the decision problem from one of a decision under uncertainty to one of certainty so that the potential risk is psychologically negated. "Would you rather a dead son or a live daughter," is the slogan. I don't think these suicide threats are credible, and they look like emotional manipulation, which is intended to stop all rational thinking on the matter.

Hopefully, I have crystalized the essence of the contested issue better than two clowns talking for over two hours.

By having humility I should have clarified I meant that he has in the past admitted when he was wrong (read: pussies out when shit gets flung at him), albeit in a childish way "I was a big stinky goober", and I think he will do some variation of that. How? I'm not sure. He fucked himself in a corner with this. He can either double down on his statements and piss off a huge chunk of his normal fanbase, or he can walk back what he said and cause emotional turmoil in his reddit fanbase. Considering he's reddit's heckin wholesome boy wonder, he'll probably bend the knee to them.
He'll probably make his response video feigning ignorance as to why people are so upset with him, claim he didn't say anything people didn't already know, deflect to Sneako's words, add in some HILARIOUS phrases like "poopy" or "cum sock", and wrap it up with a nice little "that's about it, see ya".
