when chomo joe dropped out on July 21, one of my first thoughts was "alright guys, let's not underestimate kamala"...but less than a week later, after seeing the behavior of right wingers on Twitter, I'm already at "WHOA WHOA many of you are definitely OVERestimating kamala"

Trump's getting bashed quite a bit on X for the 'won't have to vote again' comment, which was a bad move for sure. He usually never backs down or clarifies things, but he should on that. I know what he meant by it but a lot of idiots are pushing the 'dictator' talk now.

That said, I do think that to capitalize on it, the GOP needs to start backing more pro-family and pro-motherhood programs. For better or worse, the people who end up big players tend to be college educated people, with more “elite” jobs. And those fields tend to be pretty demanding, forcing people, but especially women, to choose between starting a family or getting ahead. I think it’s pretty obvious why this causes issues for conservatives.
We should absolutely be trying to foster a culture that allows and even supports people pursuing both. I personally think that’d do a lot in helping more conservative women end up in positions like where Kamala and Hillary are.

Yeah, not the "unity" that Dems love to push which is the same as saying "diversity matters but not white people or people who don't believe the same things we do." Unity is probably one of the strongest messages he can push.

Because 99% of politicians are only voted for because of party affiliation. The sad truth is that you could make LITERALLY anyone the dem nominee and they'd get 60-70 million votes. The system is fundamentally broken (intentional) and open democracy is a joke.

Washington or no Washington it was an inevitability, the time he was in was the era of Whigs and Tories and other Founding Fathers went on to fall in either the Federalist or the Democratic-Republican camp. There was also the "Era of Good Feelings" in the early 1800s but this was short-lived and is often looked at with skepticism. Even if political parties were legally not allowed people would just form unofficial organizations instead.

A greater question that would effect the "quality" of democracy in the United States is should Americans continue on with the two-party system that has dominated politics in the country since the start or should a wider multi-party system be encouraged? Should everyone have a chance to get the representation they really want or do we all continue on with the act of biting the tongue constantly in order to continue functioning as a "big tent" group that out of all their peers has the only real shot at winning elections consistently?

I think the trick would be hitting the body with a dose of proteins/genetic markers that are similar to the cancer cells, but tweaked even further so as to trigger an immune response, maybe coupled with some kind of immuno-sensitizer if such a thing exists, or perhaps a horde of T cells that have already been sensitized that can teach the rest of your body to react as well

Its been lost in the noise of all that's happened since the debate but day after trump was playing golf (possible the same day as his vid with dechambeau) a video was leaked of Trump talking to some guys on the course about Biden dropping out and Kamala. So Trump's been preparing for this for about a month.

Having a viable third-party at all would be a big deal. That's the United Kingdom but in the United States, Democrats and Republicans have actively worked together to create a patchwork of laws that make barriers of entry for any kind of independent or minor party that wish to challenge them.
