TGWTG Linkara / Lewis Lovhaug - HMMMMMMM? (Dead Gay Muppet Gangbang)

it was specifically because he said that if he wants to watch Star Trek, he'd watch Star Trek. He would not accept replacements or alternatives.
Spoken like a grade A "I need this thing to be exactly the way it is or I chump out." Autist. Like not even being funny that's litterally a signature behavior of Autists on the spectrum.

Also the stigma of 'Family Guy in Space' was more Seth did a purposeful bait and switch; he sold it as that to get the show greenlit, but never intended it to be. The first ep was especially over the top on purpose with the Seth Humor, but Seth is a Trekkie, and he always wanted this to be a loveletter to Star Trek.

The powers that be wanted Orville to fail, to the point that they 'leaned on the needle' of reviewers to repeat 'Family Guy in Space', which, again, by episode 3 of Orville, most of the random Seth Humor was toned down to the point where it was more the characters had individual quirks. Fun fact: Go to Rotten TOmatos and look at the season 1 Orville critics review vs Fan review.

Then go to Star Trek:biggrin:iscovery's numbers for their season 1.

The needle leaning was oh so very obvious.

To the point that, for Rotten Tomatos to even keep a shred of it's credibility on the Critics review percentage, they flip flopped on Orville Season 2; HARD!

To those that watched Orville, there was not a sudden 70% jump in quality between seasons 1 and 2. If anything, the quality remained mainly the same. The overcorrection was hilarious, but not just on Rotten Tomatos part.

The Orville realeased this season 2 trailer in 2018.

And then Star Trek Discovery's season 2 trailer.

It was obvious what happened to everyone watching immediately. Seth fucking won, he made a better Star Trek.
Also, we once again see that the critic score on Rotten Tomatoes looks to be worthless, and the audience score is really where it's at.

If Linkara was still relevant, he'd so try to be one of those RT critics. Guy can't help himself.

Also, he probably skipped Orville because he assumes, like many of us did, that it's just Family Guy in space. Which, to be fair, is what it was billed as.
And yet it's become not only a spoof of Trek type shows but a loving homage to it as well.

It was obvious what happened to everyone watching immediately. Seth fucking won, he made a better Star Trek.

oh, and here is Lewis's infamous "Don't tell me what to do!" tweet
He's such a faggot.

As the old saying goes, "why go out for a burger when you have steak at home?". Which makes sense until you realize there are times you want a burger. You can like both Trek and The Orville. There's no reason, other than autism, that you would have to compare the two and use that as a reason why you don't want to watch it.

Also, we once again see that the critic score on Rotten Tomatoes looks to be worthless, and the audience score is really where it's at.
I wouldn't say it's worthless and the audience score shows the "true" value because the audience score can be just as messed up for the same reason.

Critics look at movies all day. They evaluate it based on what they learned in film school and judge things like composition, lighting, story and all that. Audiences don't care about that so long as they're entertained. But every movie with some controversy behind it and you get things like this:

TLM.JPG

You mean to tell me that because 94% of the people who saw it liked it that it's a good movie? And because more than 60% of critics did it's also good? You forget that a lot of these people aren't interested in the movie itself but rather they're interested in the message and the fact the main actress is black. Diversity! YAY!

Rotten Tomatoes is just as suspect as any other review site you care to mention.

I can get if folks were annoying about it, but I have to wonder if it’s just Linkara refusing to leave his comfort zone and a refusal to risk his biases being challenged.
Pretty much, as @MisterBee showed in his screenshots, Lewis likes to stick to one franchise and then that's it. Hell, he won't even watch the Sentai series Power Rangers is based on because it's not Power Rangers, except for a Patreon request review. Even if it's similar, he doesn't want it, he wants the thing he likes to go on forever, giving him new content in that world. Like Moviebob being pissed that Mario Odyssey wasn't Super Mario Bros. 15, or hating Amazing Spider-Man because it wasn't a continuation of the Tobey Maguire movies.

And it doesn't even have to be good, he admitted he hated most of the latter half of the Titans comic book from 1999 but still considers it his favorite because it was how he got into comics and loves the stuff Devin Grayson did. He even kept buying Teen Titans books after despite being upset with the direction they were being taken.

JFC, this is way beyond what I'd consider normal.

It's extremely painful how rigidly autistic he is. Stay in your walled garden, fat boy.
This is why you push your kids' boundaries so they can be more flexible as adults instead of coddling them. Otherwise they grow up not wanting to eat healthy, staying in dead relationships because they fear change, wasting precious money on junk, and not being able to take care of themselves. Oh, and wasting their lives on a dead career because they can't admit they were wrong.

The comments to that tweet are repeating a lot of the lightwasher lies about Lewis's creative past.

"Didn't he do Lightbringer when he was 18?" "No, he was 14!"

He was 20

A few days after Trump was shot, a troll sent Lewis an ask on his Tumblr where they expressed the belief that show!Linkara would vote for Trump due to their numerous similarities (including inflated egos). To say he was offended is an understatement

You've been very vocal about who you support, but what Presidential Candidate would Linkara the character back?
I know gut reaction would be that he roots for Biden because thats what you do - but the more I think about it, the more I think the character would be a Trumper.

He protects the world from all invading forces. He meets opposition with insults and comedy. Both have been in leadership positions and faltered. Both have selfish tendencies and horde resources just for themselves. Both are very egotistical and wear iconic hats. Could be an interesting flaw to explore in your series?

Lewis answered:

In what world

In what universe

In what deranged fantasy

Would Linkara the character - an extension of myself, just with spaceships and robots and trauma from fighting Lovecraftian monster Gods - a loud, opinionated, aggressive advocate for LGBT+ rights, enemy of racism and sexism, who frequently trashes greed, unheroic behavior, and bigotry in various forms, who despises selfish stupidity and loathsome, lecherous profiteers of human misery

Ever

EVER

Support that drooling, authoritarian, rapist, felonious, traitorous, CANKER SORE parody of a human being?

That was really funny to see him explode in rage like he did.

Dude is so fragile when you get down to it.

You know Linkara could've just chosen to not respond to this, or at least not write an essay about how pissed he is.
Please. He needs to tell people how he feels, defend himself and then block the other person from ever responding.

His ego won't allow him to not explain himself.

Here’s a question: I’ve been living in Minnesota since 2019, primarily around the Twin Cities area, with a spell in Deluth. I’ve heard basically every variation of the accent, from generic American to straight out of Fargo, and nobody has ever come close to sounding like Linkara; is he originally from somewhere else? Is there a part of Minnesota that’s populated by retards? Is it just the autism?

IIRC, Lewis said something about his family living in Philidelphia very very briefly in his youth. Which is strange because Lewis's parents, Loren 'Papa' Lovhaug and Avonelle 'Code Poet' Lovhaug were publishing their Commodore 128 fanzine titled 'Twin Cities 128' back in '86.

His dad is pretty accent-less as well, not sure about his mom. How does his brother sound?
